- A Great Purchase - Donavan, 12 January 2018
This card has absolutely delivered on what you would expect from the 1070 range. It's not fancy by any lengths, the packaging is a little bland and doesn't offer much in the way of stickers or additional accessories, but the cards performance is off the charts, and that's all you should really be interested in when making a purchase at this price.
I game CSGO, the Witcher 3 and Far Cry 4 on Ultra Graphics at 4K. The fans - when 100% - are pretty loud, but that's got a lot to do with the case you're keeping and your internal cooling. Honestly it's a non-factor to me and I would absolutely recommend this purchase to anyone looking to get into high-end gaming.
- Exceeded my expectations - Julio, 18 April 2017
I wasn't sure what to except from galax but man is this card awesome :) the GPU boost clock was at 1950 Mhz with stock settings when playing the witcher 3 (hwmonitor running in background) and max temps with default fan curve 75 degrees. The only issue I have is the fan speed at idle which is 50%...the fan speed cannot go lower which would have been nice
- Good card in general - Matthew, 28 October 2016
I bought this card expecting to get an average card due to its cheap price but I was blown away. It isn't that loud and produces an incredible amount of power. It isn't anything fancy, is big and slightly loud but you barely notice it.
All in all I recommend this card over the other 1070's because you can put the extra money into bettering your PC in other places.
Special thanks to wootware for making it a cheap card - Great Card For The Price - Peter, 14 October 2016
I literally went for the cheapest 1070 I could find in SA . . and it was this card (Still is, from what I can see). I am pleasantly surprised.
This Card is quite large, but very sturdy. Backplate helps a lot with the stability of the card when mounted. Fan shroud is metal, which does add to the weight, but also makes the card feel very sturdy in hand. Actual construction of the card and components looks quite good.
Actual Performance of the card is excellent, on par with other 1070s on the market. Ramped the fans up to 100%, and the Fan Noise was still bearable and not obtrusive.
Packaging is rather bare-bones, but packaging materials chosen are of good quality and protects the card rather well from shipping bumps and bruises.
All in all, WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!. Dont expect awesome packaging, great bonus stuff.
If you just want a good GTX 1070, it's hard to beat this card.
