- Lightning Speed - Ndumiso, 29 November 2017
Boot times and shutdown time, read and write speeds, amazing. Can't complain
- Excellent Product - Raven, 5 October 2017
Excellent SSD. Software is included and simple to clone an existing drive, though it doesn't include any cables especially a SATA to USB for cloning. Had to make do with an HDD enclosure connectors to clone.
All in all an excellent, fast and affordable drive. - Happy - Will, 7 July 2017
If you are using Windows 10 be sure to download the latest version of the support software - "magician" and "data migration" - from the Samsung website. The older software on the CD does not identify Windows 10 properly and causes some problems. My drive would not enable rapid mode and the magician software would sometimes freeze while trying to identify the drive. Fixed by installing the latest version of magician ( ver 15 and above). Also the data migration software will only migrate an entire drive to the SSD and not an individual partition which was a problem for me as my system was dual boot with 2 OS partitions. Ended up having to restore a system image of my boot drive onto the SSD.
Otherwise the drive is super fast. - SPEED - Enrico, 12 May 2017
Wow, this is one fast SSD at a great price. Comes with software (CD) to help you optimize excellent addition.
- Insanely fast! - Francois, 1 February 2016
If you're looking for a fast affordable SSD, grab the 850 Evo. It's much faster than the other MLC SSDs in its class, and the extra money spent is worth it. I've tested it using two benchmarks, and both reported the same numbers as printed on the Samsung spec sheet, so no inflated values there. Just be sure to install the latest firmware as it does make a difference in performance.
