ASRock B450 Steel Legend AMD B450 Ryzen Socket AM4 ATX Desktop Motherboard

The motherboard matched my RGB theme. Motherboard capable of running my 5 5600 amd cpu. Board feature just enough to get the job done and play Grand Theft auto V and Far Cry 6. All purchases made once again at wootware.

Overall the board itself is pretty decent, offering up to Ryzen 5000 series compatibility (BIOS upgrade required), works with Ryzen 3000 series out of the box which is great for a B450 board, has 2x m.2 slots, a decent amount of fan headers, 4 memory slots, USB-C connectivity and some pretty RGB lights. However, stick to a 6-core cpu as max, running an 8-core and higher cpu is not recommend as the VRM's aren't robust enough to handle higher core count cpu's. And the software pretty much sucks... full of glitches. Thank goodness the BIOS is pretty straightforward, even for a newbie.

Comes with Ready for the Ryzen 3000 chipsets.Working great with my R7 3700X, no v ram issues like they said on YouTube. Solid board why spend more?.Thank you Mr. Lu

Don't even try to buy it, return one and I'm going to sell the replacement, the drivers problems never end :(

Awesome board! Love the RGB and the hints of white, I had to check the manual for what SATA lanes get diabled when you use the bottom M.2 slot. "*M2_2, SATA3_3 and SATA3_4 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled" similar thing with the with the top M.2 slot "*If M2_1 is occupied, PCIE4 will be disabled." Thanks Wootware!

Everything works well on hardware side, its only issues come with its rgb, the software used to freeze my pc but fixed it and color matching is difficult, on the board alone you have to set it to different values to get "similar" color, same with my pre-installed fan vs paid fans. Good think PC enthusiast like to tinker because it didn't bother me at all.

Great piece of hardware. Motherboard is quite a size. Doesn't come with mounting screws. I used the CPU stainless steal screws to mount the board to the tower it works well.

Over enough slots for fans , RGB lighting is a WOW on this machine.
I had the ASUS model and that lasted 2 years.

You will need to make sure that you tower is big enough as this motherboard is bulky.
One downside is the fan control you will need to adjust via the BIOS thats a bit annoying when you running heavy gaming.

IF you know what you doing then its plug and play.

The colour neutral black-and-grey aesthetic of the board means it will fit in most builds without being intrusive. The RGB is also a fantastic inclusion at this price point, and the software is extremely easy to use. The only downsides are that the included CD did not work (kept saying "this CD is not for this motherboard"), and the RGB stays on even when the system is off, unless you also switch off your PSU. Otherwise, it's a great board, and you could easily slot in an R5 3600 with no problems, maybe even an R7 3700X.

The board quality is great, it looks fantastic. The RGB under the chipset heatsink looks slightly different in colour to the ones by the IO shield, but that's a minor. Only issue I have is the fact that my memory didn't work with the XMP profile. No matter what I did, it stayed stock at 2133. AsRock's website strongly advises against updating the bios if you are running 2000 or 1000 series cpu's. I paired the board with a 2600 and I went and updated the BIOS anyway, cause that ended up fixing my XMP issue with the memory. The flat layout of the sata ports can be an issue with clearance on some cases, so keep that in mind. Read carefully, the second M.2 slot only supports SATA speeds, its not meant for an NVMe drive and you loose sata ports in the process. The board overall is a great board. Good price and good build quality. Barring those few things, you will be happy with it.

Great board. Looks good and has everything you need. BIOS is easy to use and is fully featured. Paired with the G.Skill F4-3200C16D-16GVKB and a Ryzen 3600 everything just worked out of the box including the XMP profile to run the RAM at full speed.

Bought this as a replacement for me Mortar Max that was DOA, from ANOTHER company. No complaints, compatible with Ryzen 3000 series straight out the box. RGB is just an added bonus.

If you are looking for a decent motherboard with 4 ram slots, some nice rgb on the motherboard surface, modern looking design and some more features that most normal motherboards don't have, then I can recommend this motherboard it is also cheap compared to all the other mobo's there is.

This MOBO is great, and competes with Gigabyte & MSI. I’ve no issues so far, and can actually use the ASRock Windows software utility to OC & tweak. I OC my Ryzen 5 3600 to 4.0Ghz, there is even a mode which tunes according to CPU temperature & fan speed.

Perfect entry motherboard for the AM4 platform. It comes with most of the features expected and works great. Also RGB!
