ASUS GK2000 ROG Horus RGB Cherry MX Red Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

I bought this to replace my old Microsoft Sidewinder keyboard that is now a decade old. I wanted a keyboard with RGB lighting to match the rest of my PC and this keyboard seemed to fit the bill. There's only one problem though - the keyboard is AURA RGB, not AURA RGB SYNC. What does this mean you might ask? Well, the keyboard can't be controlled through the Asus Armory Crate software along with the rest of your devices and can't sync the RGB to the rest of the system. You have to use a separate Asus application to manage the keyboard which is a real annoyance. I guess this keyboard just dates to the earlier days of the whole Aura RGB ecosystem when things weren't quite settled yet.

It does seem so silly that Asus couldn't find a way to enable RGB SYNC with this keyboard though, as it's a lovely keyboard otherwise. The Cherry Red MX keys are something new to me, but I rather like the experience so far. The various media controls and everything is placed perfectly and the actual RGB lighting is almost perfect, though it is a bit dull on the number row compared to the other keys.

I have no problem recommending this keyboard as long as you don't want to sync the RGB with the rest of your system. If that's the case, you'll need to look at one of the other more modern Asus keyboards.

Even unboxing this keyboard was a treat, Its such a nice keyboard to have. The software and response is excellent and it looks so good.

I love this keyboard, silky smooth functionality. I would most definitely recommend this product.
