- Used for a new build, Very pretty. - Yung Cabbage , 29 October 2019
This mobo is very pretty, Cant complain too much about the firmware or bios. very good board.
- Runs great, looks nice - Channing, 9 February 2019
I got this Motherboard to pair with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600. It accepts RAM with a 3200MHz profile right out of the box, no tweaking required. I love the design of the heatsinks, they look great. The only thing about this board that I have heard is that the VRMs can get toasty since the Heatsinks, although pretty, don't make the best cooling effort for the VRMs.
The lighting is nice and pretty, the board POSTs decently fast (around 6 secs) and seems stable and well build overall.
Just remember that if you get any AMD motherboard (including this one), flash the UEFI BIOS to the latest version since huge improvements have been made since Ryzen was released. Be careful though, as UEFI BIOS upgrading can sometimes be risky! - Great Product which lacks key features - Chris, 24 January 2019
Overall this board is great and it looks amazing but this comes at a cost.
It is not the best overclocker and has potential for the VRM's to run super toasty and this is why i only accompanied it with the RYZEN 5 2600 and no higher. Depending on how far you overclock, the 2600X would be okay. But for my needs i didn't need anything massively ground breaking at all but i do enjoy spending hours overclocking for the fun of it. This board does not impress me, apart from what it looks like.
Also for an X470 board you'd expect to see on board post code readouts with on/off & reset buttons but you get non of that here only a clear CMOS at the rear I/O which is appreciated for what it is. I knew all this when i made my purchase and i haven't needed these things but they do make for an easier and more enjoyable time when going into the BOIS for OC'ing and all that jazz and trouble shooting.
If you just want to game and do some sort of workloads without thinking, go right ahead and make the purchase but just know there are much better buys for less, which include better features - just do your research. But if you want to couple this mobo with a 2700/2700X, don't bother because if you're buying those you might as well be overclocking and this board won't give you the droids you're looking for.. Pew Pew!!
I am going with 3 Stars but it is totally up to your use case for the board. Gaming it's 4-5 stars but for overclocking it's a steamy pile.
Thanks to the Wootware team for an always pleasant experience when buying online. Big big up's to you cool cats!
ReggaeMaster - Solid motherboard. - Etienne, 5 January 2019
It looks nice and has RGB but the RGB is not that noticeable.
It overclocked my CPU and ram easily.
It has all the necessary ports.
It loses a star for the M.2 slots.
The M.2 heatsink screws are impossible to unscrew without stripping the screws, hence making an advertised feature useless, and if both M.2 slots are in use the second one's speeds get halved, making it pointless.
Overall just a decent motherboard.
