- Bluetti EB70 716Wh Portable Power Station - Rory, 11 December 2023
Really happy with the product so far, comes in handy during load shedding (2 or 4 hours), to run the basics. Customer service and support received during the online purchase process was really good.
- Bluetti EB70 716Wh Portable Power Station - Samantha, 30 November 2023
This device is working well for us as it is being used as intended. A very happy customer. The customer experience online and via email with the Wootware staff was phenomenal. Their turnaround time is quick and we would definitely recommend Wootware in future to anyone needing tech gadgets.
- Best value for money - Tshepo, 8 November 2023
The EB70 is the best value for money small power station you can get right now.
The 716wh capacity is perfect for my needs at home.
I’m currently running a 55inch tv, 43 inch tv and the internet router at a load of 143w. This will last me around 5hrs with the EB70 at full charge.
So for load shedding purposes it will suffice.
If you’re looking a cost effective solution it won’t hurt the pockets. The charging times are long though with around 4hrs in my testing so just be aware of that, it doesn’t have an app or an exact read out of how much battery is left like their new ac models but for the battery percentages it shows is better than nothing. Before I forget the fan noise it makes isn’t that loud if you have used a fan before you won’t mind the noise. The best solution is to charge it an another room if your sensitive to fan noise.
Highly recommend it especially at this price if you want something that ticks most of the boxes it will do. shipping was fast and easy, received mine early. - Before you buy: Consider your use case - Morne, 14 September 2023
Before you buy: Consider your use case
Important take away is that this unit does not function as a UPS, so if you intend on keeping all your devices plugged in all the time - it will drain the battery depending on the load. The fan of the charging block does run continuously unless unplugged from the wall - it is however recommended to not keep the unit on charge 24/7. For the best battery longevity it's best to keep the battery between 20-80% charge. Fans in the power station itself has a settle "whoosh", which I much prefer over a continuous whine.
I highly recommend to consider your use case - this is by no means a bad product and I've personally had a solid experience with it. When factoring in the price and considering the promo discount - this is by far the largest capacity unit for the price. In my personal experience, I've found this product has exceptional build quality and can be easily carried around. Additionally, I've had no issues with the unit keeping my setup live during loadshedding sessions - Considering my setup in total uses about 300-350w, it's easily kept it all running for 3-hours (your mileage might vary)
- quite loud- no bypass - Richard, 28 August 2023
This is quite noisy and with no bypass it is continuously charging with the fans in use 24/7. Whilst pulling over 100 watts the fans will be on continuously.
If you working in the same room it's quite loud, especially if you work within a few feet of where it is, the fan noise is quite audible even with 2 computers & a movie or music playing in the same room.
During loadshedding is the only time that it's completely quiet.
Honesyly I'd suggest staying with other brands...eco...flow...
Response from Wootware:
Please note that the Bluetti AC adapter incorporates a fan that will operate continuously while the charger is connected to AC power. This design maintains optimal temperature inside the charging unit and prevents potential harm to internal components from excessive heat during extended periods of charging. Please also note that the EB70 model, although a Portable Power Station, is not intended to serve as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). We recommend disconnecting the AC adapter or switching off the wall socket once the unit has been fully charged for optimal usage.
