- Super Nice for the Price , CPU nice and chilled , easy to put in. - Chris, 13 December 2021
Put this into a Phanteks P400A case and it fits great.
Had to move the fan a few mm up to fit the RAM in so be aware that it's possible.
The RGB is growing on me , but make sure your motherboard has enough headers or a splitter
- Amazing performance - Nathin, 4 May 2021
Really happy with this fan as my temperatures have dramatically decreased since installing. I have a mid tower with stock wraith cooler and after installing this with another cooler master case fan, my Warzone temps went from 85 to 45!
Just note that this is standard RGB and not addressable/digital. - Good Product! - Ismaeel, 2 May 2021
The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition is a great cooler. It took my i5 - 4590 from 90 to 45 degrees Celsius at high load. The heatsink itself is really sturdy and the mounting screws bottom out so you need not worry overtightening them. The product also includes a RGB controller (for extra fps) to molex adapter for boards like mine which do not have a dedicated rgb header on the motherboard. Amazing delivery and turn-around time from Wootware!
- You guys rock! - Francois, 28 August 2020
Wootware, in these difficult times, customer service separates good from great, and I want to applaud you for great service. Please never lose that. You will keep me as a customer if all buying experiences are the same as this one. Well done.
- Awesome - Etienne, 27 July 2020
With the help of a GearSeekers YouTube video, the cooler was relatively easy to install. It is very silent and it keeps my 3700X running at 28 degrees at idle with the fan running at 30%. At load, the temperature rises to 65 degrees. RGB looks great, although it is not addressable. Came with a small tube of thermal paste which is enough for two applications at most. There are two cables that need to be connected to the motherboard - one for the fan and the other for the RGB lighting. Initially I thought the RGB cable might be too short, but it reaches the header at the very bottom of my ATX motherboard easily.
- Good for non overclocked machines - Lorenzo, 24 July 2020
Using it for a few weeks now on i5 9400f, works perfect. Temps under load is 62 degrees. Service from wootware was on point as always. The only thing i would recommend is to use the mastergel pro paste that comes with this. It is better than the phanteks nano diamond and better than the corsair TM30.
- Cooler Master Hyper 212 - Awie, 14 July 2020
Nice and sleek looking cooler, gets the job done at its price range. Is able to cool my i7-2600k while on turbo mode and gaming with ease while sporting only a single fan. Would love to see how it overclocks with a push pull config.
- Great cooler - Tyrone, 6 July 2020
Installation was simple once I found this guide, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cZKGxWmh6U&t=631s. Was using the stock cooler and it was messed up with loads of dust, would always be thermal throttling in games. Idle was 55-60, but now am getting 25-30. Great cooler.
- Best Budget Cooler - Nizaam , 22 June 2020
100% suggest this cooler if you are on a budget, my Temps dropped by 25°C. The rgb is a good added touch. I highly suggest this cooler.
- Very Effective - Reece, 19 June 2020
Before getting this my PC would single-handedly warm up my room. Now it does the opposite. Also very helpful that it includes a tube of thermal paste, so no need to get your own.
- A welcome improvement. - Ndumiso, 12 June 2020
The AM4 mounting method is a lot better than the previous iteration however it initial mounting process is a lot more involved. All in all, cooling is top notch for the price. Re-Applying cooling paste in the future will be a breeze.

- Excellent Cooler for OC - Abdul Baasit, 27 May 2020
Using this on my Ryzen 3rd gen to Overclock in a tiny room with bad ventilation, it does well to keep temps low and does so very silently while looking aesthetically great.
PC Idling - hovers @ about 28/29C
Full load/Stress test (CPU 100%) - Max Temps are about 52/53C
Resource heavy gaming - Temps Hovering in the range of 42-48C - Great product! - Cobus, 31 March 2020
I had serious overheating issues with my stock Intel fan and this has completely solved my problem. The temperature now hovers around 50 degrees even when playing resource-intensive games.
- much cooler - Leslie, 30 August 2019
Using on Ryzen 2700X. Had this annoying whine coming from stock cooler when CPU boosts and of course quite load under load.
This new cooler, cools better and is quieter with no weird pitch noise. Just normal fan noise when it needs to do some work.
Ran a stress test with stock cooler hitting 88C @ 3277RPM and this new one 78C @ 2115RPM.
I did notice the thermal paste on old heatsink seamed a bit smeared so could be a problem during installation of that. I am also using Corsair TM30 with the new cooler while the old one had that "pre-installed thermal pad" stuff. Note that this cooler does include thermal paste. I just chose to use the TM30 since I got a lot of it left. But anyway, even if the old cooler was not perfectly installed it did not explain the whiny noise the fan made so I am happy with this purchase to replace it.
