- Good for Ryzen, tuning req. - Saieden, 31 July 2019
Bought the blue version to match my gpu, reviewing this one as it's in stock.
Stock XMP works just fine on my build (Msi Mortar w/ 2400G + RX 580) My dies are Hynix A-die, and I was able to set 3200 14-17-17-17 using the fast preset with the Ryzen Calculator with no issues, whereas my 3200 CL16 Ripjaws (Hyniz C-die) could not manage the fast profile despite slower timings. I haven't actually spent time pushing it to the limit, however.
Is it worth the extra few R100s over cheaper 3200 CL16 sticks for a plug and play system? Probably not. But it is very good value compared to anything else above 3200 CL16 rating if you want that extra bit of performance and don't mind tuning.
P.S. Not to be confused with the CL16 version!
