- High quality and works well - Dimitri, 3 May 2021
I've been hesitant to move over to vertical mounting my graphics card as I was worried about heating issues and possible slow down in performance. I have no regrets and have only experienced positive results from this vertical GPU riser cable.
1. Extremely easy to install and includes all accessories needed instead of searching for screws etc from your chassis accessories.
2. The flex on the cable is great. No need to worry about damaging the cable while molding it in place from the PCI-E lane on the motherboard to the vertical mounted section.
3. Once the graphics card is mounted and fastened on the chassis, the graphics card is solid.
4. After a few hours of testing without vertical mount and then with I have seen the following results:
- 2 degrees higher on the graphics card only
- 4 degrees lower on the CPU
5. All my lighting settings worked immediately and looks AMAZING! - Pretty Nice - Heino, 24 August 2020
I didn't expect this riser cable to be this good quality. It's really work the premium. I used it in an Antec NX800 case and used a piece of wood I spray painted as a support and the quality mounting holes and rigid PCIE connector makes it very easy to work with. Definitely recommend this bad boy.

Ah vanity. Well there's no other reason to do this, it there.
Being a Fractal product it slotted into my Fractal Define R6 case with ease. The mounting solution is sturdy and the ribbon well shielded and reinforced, I was surprised by how securely the riser clicked into the PCI-E slot. It just works. I have a huge GPU and large CPU cooler, so slotting the card in was a bit tight but manageable.
My only concern was GPU temperatures as many reviewers had pointed out to be an issue when mounting your GPU so close to the side panel. My OC'd HOF card leaves about 10 -15mm space between it and the glass panel. I'm happy to report that I couldn't notice any difference in GPU thermals, staying in the 60s with extended use and boost clocks reporting the normal 2050 - 2100mhz. CPU seemed to be running a few degrees colder than usual.
It's worth pointing out that my setup has two 140mm intake fans at the front and one 140mm exhaust at the rear and the CPU has a tower cooler with two 120mm fans exhausting on the same level as the rear 140mm fan, so I have very good air flow without having to crank my fans up.
SO in summary, the riser works and my GPU didn't throttle or melt :)
