- An Excellent Addition to your Rig - Lourence, 30 October 2016
The Radeon Based 4GB R9380x from Gigabyte is AMD's answer to Nvidia's GTX 970 and it is and excellent choice for those who want high tier performance from an affordable card without forking out the R15k (from your imaginary money tree) for a Titan X. It features a two fan cooling solution and massive heat sinks and copper heat pipes which keep the card frosty even when running it for extended periods of time at an impressive overclock of 1200 MHz using MSI Afterburner. I have owned the R9380x for 7 months now and I am very pleased with my purchase. The card does support Direct X 12 which drastically increases its performance in games like Battlefield 1 and the latest installment of Deus X with the added benefit of the Mantle API and Vulkan being utilised in games. Thanks AMD for supplying such an amazimg product at such a competative price point. Just be sure to run the GPU with a decent CPU to avoid bottlenecking. Remember folks... Nvidia isn't everything :)
