Bought this as an impulse-buy, not for gaming specifically, but for music at work with a built-in mic for skype calls and occasional gaming when I take it home. Music quality is great and these headphones block out ALL external sound with music at barely 10% volume - which is perfect for the workplace. That said, it is also a bit of a bother when using the mic as you can't hear yourself and are then inclined to speak much louder in order to hear yourself.
These headphones are worth every penny. Been using it for two weeks now and no regrets.

- Lightweight and super comfortable - Easily wear it all day
Cons:
- USB cable to control box is actually very long, which can be messy. I tied it up with a string which makes it more manageable

This is an excellent headphone for the price. The modular design is possibly the best feature of this headset as you can unplug the mic and headphone in a flash to take it on the go for listening on mobile devices. The sound quality is great and the earpads are of the most comfortable I've come across. The 7.1 (pc) feature is nothing to write home about but it serves it function by simulating surround sound adequately in games, for music though i would suggest you turn it off as the "normal" mode provides a better music listening experience. The package includes a bag for carrying the headphone while on the go and also includes an airplane adapter to allow compatibility when flying. Noise cancelling is good as well and the unit is extremely comfortable. The HyperX Cloud 2 is worth your money and you would be hard pressed to find a better quality headphone at this price. Buy it, it's worth it.
