- Good Headset, but Overpriced - Janru, 27 May 2019
So I bought this headset almost a year ago. I haven't had any problems with it except that when playing Battlefield 1 or V the RGB lights turn themselves on and even if you go and disable them in the settings they just turn themselves back on later. This severely impacts battery life. With normal daily use, I can normally get a day without having to charge the headset. If I don't use the headset the whole day it can sometimes be two days. The rest of the headset is fine, good sound and good build quality if you treat the headset well. The braided cables are a nice addition. The range isn't too bad, but I would suggest putting the USB dongle either on your desk or as far up as you can. I can only give this headset 2 out of 5 because of the price to performance is horrible. I got the headset on sale for about +-R2700 and still at that discounted price it's just not good enough. I upgraded to this from my old G430 and the only thing I really got from the upgrade was going wireless. When you also add in that this is an outdated design which has not been updated in more than two years you should not be paying more than R2000 for it when you can get a newer headset for cheaper from Logitech's competitors.
As always excellent service and delivery from Wootware, which I consider one of the best online computer shops in South Africa.
