- Non-Replaceable Reciever - Donovan, 23 January 2015
This keyboard feels awesome and the mouse is good too. Except for the mouse wheel as the previous review stated. Unfortunately my receiver got knocked and it snapped off and now the keyboard and mouse are literally useless. I have no problem paying for a new receiver or even buying a second hand one from someone but this is impossible because every receiver is specially tuned for each specific KB and Mouse. Now I have a R500 keyboard and mouse laying in my cupboard useless because the R100 or whatever receiver broke.

The keyboard is great. Keystrokes have a nice feel to it. They key layout is nicely spaced out and the shortcuts functional.
The mouse on the other hand is horrible. It gets dirty very quickly, because the rubber on the thumb position picks up dust and it is difficult to clean. The glossy top suffers the same fate and shows dirt real quick, but is easy to clean thankfully. The main and side buttons are good and fits nicely in my hand. But the mouse wheel is the worst. If you use the mouse wheel button for opening web pages in a new tab like I do, the wheel scrolls when you press down which makes you miss click the hyperlink. There are no 'gears' keeping the wheel in place. Just a flimsy rubber band that moves over the round wheel. This rubber is thin and with a bit of scrolling starts to deteriorate quickly.
The mouse is now about 11 months old, and I doubt it will survive another. Compared this to my old Logitech MX310 mouse which is around 10 years old and still works 100% this is very bad.
The batterylife is great. I've only had to replace the mouse battery once.
Although I really love the keyboard and battery life. I sadly can't recommend this because of the horrible mouse.
