- Happy board. - Grey, 11 April 2016
This board runs very happily with an i3 4170 in it paired with 16GB of G.Skill 1600 RAM.
Was surprised to see such a cheap board running MSI's "fancy" bios, feels exactly the same as both my Z97 MSI boards in that respect.
Good fan control, good rear-port layout.
Cons:
"Bendy" PCIe latch. - Feels cheap, even my old AGP board has a "clicking" latch/lever.
Only 2 fan headers. - Bought fan hub.
No USB3 header on motherboard. - Bought USB2>3 converter.
2 Ram slots normal for 900 rand board.
Pcie Gen 2.
It's a cheap board, yes. But even the cheapest cases today come with USB3 front panels and the ability to place 3 or more fans.
If you're building a system for someone who is just getting into the whole "PC" thing, this is a great place to start.
Supported CPUs are more than enough for any game and 16GB of ram is cheap and plentiful.
