- Lightweight, but powerful - Christiaan, 28 April 2020
Performs right out of the box, tried to clone an HDD to this one (but I just sucked at that)>
ended up re-installing windows, and it really shows how terrible an i3 with a hdd really performs.
OS boots quickly, programs have little delay and the only bottleneck is 4GB of RAM on this laptop, and maybe the low-powered Intel i3 (5005u) - Laptop SSD upgrade - Daniel, 26 February 2020
Great product....this is my 2nd Mushkin that I have purchased from Wootware. First one I upgraded a friends' MacBook and this one was for a colleague's laptop. Great upgrade and great pricing. Thanks for the great and fast service as always.
- Really Incredible - Jordyn, 3 June 2019
A super fast SSD, well worth its price! The seeps of an HDD and SSD are unrivaled !
- Works with Mac - Drogerian, 31 March 2019
Got this to give new life to my wife's early 2011 macbook pro.
Successfully cloned her old HDD (took a bit to learn how to do this with the mac) and runs with the performance improvements you'll expect from a SSD.
No issues yet, will update if anything goes wrong. - Great product work as intended - Salmaan, 25 March 2019
If you planning to switch this is a really good option.
- Great SSD - Salmaan, 22 February 2019
Pros
Super fast(vs HDD)
Super cheap(seems to always be on sale)
Easy install and great warranty.
Cons
If you can manage your drives data there is no problem with this
A good investment and if you have the cash go for 500gb
- Great product for the price! - Justin, 22 November 2018
First off. If your on the fence about buying a SSD, JUST DO IT! You wont regret it.
I have been using this SSD since mid September after deciding on it as my birthday gift. So far I've had zero problems with it. It makes Windows, programs and most games i put on it supper quick.
On my Hard drive it took windows over 3 minutes to boot. Even after i did a clean install it still took almost 2 minutes to get to the log on screen.
With this SSD Windows boots after about 15 seconds and takes a few more seconds to get all my startup programs running. Now i never have to worry about rebooting my PC while playing online with friends because its just so quick.
Now I just need some friends...
For the price I definitely recommend this specific SSD.
NOTE!!! like most SSD's it does not include a SATA cable so you might have to buy one or dig one out of an old PC.
Oh also about the 250GB size. Currently I am running Windows 10 and my main programs and documents on the SSD with my music, pictures, videos and extremely large and small games offloaded to the 1TB hard drive. Usually I can comfortably fit 2 to 3 games on the SSD with about 40 to 60 GB to spare. Currently while writing this review I have Destiny 2 (no DLC) and Forza Horizon 4 on it with about 54GB left open.
So if you can't afford a 500GB SSD, a 250GB will be perfectly adequate for a few games and Windows - Perfect - Aidan, 6 October 2018
Bought this to give life to an older system, words cannot quantify how much snappier it is with even a budget SSD.
