- Awesome GPU - Derus, 20 June 2018
An awesome GPU for the price as Carl has stated. Ever since I got the GPU I tried to find something that will push the limits of the performance capability, for curiosity's sake.
Runs everything maxed out at 1080p at 60fps but then... I did the "infamous" Crysis 3 test and saw the GPU struggling to keep the 60fps goal with the anti-aliasing set to x8, drawing the card down to 45fps. But once I've switched V-Sync off and dropped the AA down to x4 the card jumped to 100-120 fps with all other settings still maxed out and delivered smooth game play with amazing visuals.
A side note... The Palit "Dual" does not have the RGB light to illuminate the logo, like the "JetStream" alternative, if that is something you might want.
Overall experience = amazing! - Price to Performance***** - Carl, 7 June 2018
I had never heard of Palit and, considering this was the cheapest 1070 on the site, I was naturally skeptical.
A bit of research, however, and you will learn that Palit is a huge Nvidia partner which, in recent years, have become highly regarded in terms of quality.
The catch is that you get no frills. The card isn't going to win any beauty contests and the box includes nothing other than the card and a driver CD. It is, however, light, quiet and an absolute beast in terms of performance. My only frustration so far is that I can't seem to find a game that will actually stress this thing at 1080p.
I highly recommend this card if you are looking for something a bit more futureproof than a 6GB 1060 and don't feel like spending a small country's GDP on a 1080.
