- Brillant Service, Excellent Value - Sam, 8 October 2020
I usually buy my hardware from Amazon, as nobody local can match them for price and service. Or at least, that is what I believed. Until I found Wootware.
I looked at both the GTX 1660 TI, and the RTX 2060, on Amazon. While I wanted the RTX, the price difference was too big to justify the small increase in performance. At Wootware, I got an RTX 2060 for less than R400 more than what the 1660 TI (including import taxes) would have cost me, and about R1 500 cheaper than it would have cost me to import a 2060 from Amazon. And at that, the Amazon price was still cheaper than other local stores. And as a bonus, I got a $50 game for free with my Wootware purchase!
Delivery speed? I often buy from TakeALot, and is used to waiting anything from 1 week to 3 weeks for delivery. I decided to take the 24 hour delivery option from Wootware, and ordered & paid for my new GPU on Friday morning. The following Monday, just after 9:00 am, my GPU was delivered. Now that is fast. And the delivery cost, from Cape Town to Jo'burg, was just over R100! - Very good card - Anton Du Preez, 2 March 2020
Card performs well and all benchmarks are on par with reviews (including ray tracing results on 1080p). The fans do ramp up on start up and shut down but quiets down after system is running (which is normal). Idle temp is 30-35C and load temp does not go above 70C with no noticeable fan noise or coil whine. I did notice low frame rates in some games initially, but this was fixed by changing system settings to balanced or performance mode (specifically the PCIe link state power management to off) and also running the Ryzen 7 3700x in performance mode and not power saving (nvidia settings does not seem to do anything).
- great but basic - Muhammad, 8 February 2020
the card itself can run itself cool
white LED strip adds a nice touch
would've preferred a BACKPLATE and an extra DP port
but so far no complaints with regards to performance
paired it with a r5 3600
sold my 5700 XT bcoz of driver problems and came back to team green
