- Pricing, Heat and performance - Ryuji Johan, 7 February 2022
Not everyday you get to stick a 16k card into its slot hoping it doesn't flop bringing back memories of GPU Bios flashing. Nonetheless, at current scalper and mining prices I guess this was ok looking at the other shops. Performance? Hmmm well it did replace a 970 GTX and so far so good. In all seriousness this seems to be to card if you want 1080p with an upgrade path to 1440p gaming without fail.
- Great card - Andrew, 7 February 2022
super happy with the Palit Jetstream 3070. I had a MSI Ventus 2x RTX 3060 and upgraded to the 3070. apart from having to purchase a new case as this card is much longer, I can see no down side. that said, i still think the 3060 is a great card and have nothing negative to say about it .
I have it paired with R7 5800x and Vengence 3600mhz ram - Outstanding Performance, Lacking Linux Support - Wihan, 22 March 2021
It runs anything at max settings in 1440p. Runs CSGO at 400fps with the R5 5600X, Can mine ETH at 60MH/s. Stays cool throughout all of this (60C)
Only downside is that you cannot disable or configure RGB in Linux. - Very good GPU - Charl, 3 March 2021
This GPU beats my previous GTX 1080ti's hands down in both performance and looks and is a very good fit in any case with glass side panels. The look really good on the GPU riser cable in the Gamdias cases.
- Looks and performs amazingly - Damian, 1 March 2021
This card performs really well. Paired with a 5600x and 16gb G.skill ripjaws, this card pretty much plays pretty much anything on ultra.
10/10 Service from wootware. Sorted out a shipping mishap with fastway and still got the card to me on time, and always communicating. - Amazing Card - Bryan, 24 February 2021
Great card, 1440p 60FPS monster. No faults to find at all.
Just sad a bit, I purchased the card and a day later Wootware updated their website with the Palit GeForce RTX 3070 JetStream OC.
- Best upgrade ever! - Thinus, 23 February 2021
This was very expensive but well worth the bucks to play any game I want. Maybe if the 3060 comes in stock it will be a better option for some on a budget but still think this is the best card for gaming. Great service from Wootware also!
- Powerhouse - David, 22 February 2021
For the first time in many years have I had a card that allowed me to fire up a new title game and have it default to ultra settings, no more sacrificing beauty for frames.
I do Blender 3D modelling and it performs very well for rendering and getting the job done in a respectable amount of time.
Fans are not silent when under load from rendering but this is to be expected when they are running at full sped, not something that will happen during gaming so no need to worry there. - Perfect - Waseem, 10 February 2021
Running this card with a Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB DDR4 3600MHz CL16, and 750W PSU. I'm able to easily get 165 fps in many games on my 165Hz monitor. Even so I still limit it to 120Hz and 120 fps. Card runs smooth and stable. Temperatures hover around 65 degrees, occasionally going up to 71. I was lucky to have bought it a month ago, I saved a few grand. Thanks Wootware
- Beast Gpu - Carien, 6 February 2021
when i 1st looked at this card i thought about the make and was a bit scared but now that i did alot of looking around the net and using it my self im very happy. card runs cool. is a beast of a card in games.most games i play atm is all above 150-230 fps or more so im very happy
- great card, I love it - Piet, 27 January 2021
I bought this so I can game at 1440p and it runs great in every game that I throw at it, except the optimization monster that is Cyberpunk 2077. I also like the RGB lights they awesome, just wish I had a vertical GPU mount. I will probably get a mount in the future
- Once you go Palit you dont go back - Redford, 26 January 2021
First time using a Palit card and i was very hesitant to try as its a brand i dont know, Even after doing the research and reading reviews i was nervous(All reviews are good on the net). Took the plunge as i knew prices where going up and stock was limited.
Wootware did its usual amazing service and delivery, I have never had a complaint with them and wish other certain local companies would follow suit on this. 15/10 as always on service.
Card arrived,
First thought - FAT BOI.....
second thought - it actually looks good.
Third thought - standard software could use some improvement with the RGB but im not a fan of RGB so not a problem.
Final thought - HOLY S#%T (Unreal Tournament Voice) - Absolutely mind blowing card. Performance destroys every game on 1080p and 1440p for 144hz, boost clock hits over 2040 with no overclocking. Thermals are always under 60, And this card is quiet. I am no pro or have the tools to test sound but you dont hear it under load of gaming. My system fans are louder XD
15/10 would buy again if i had a budget. - Surprise surprise! - Augustin, 23 January 2021
I expected that there would be a big jump in performance from my 980TI to this card.
There was.
The price was good, the performance great. The only test left is to see if I get the same lifetime as my more popular brand cards. - Amazing Product - Ignatius, 19 January 2021
Best upgrade I've done in a long time, worth every cent. I was upgrading from a GTX 1060 6GB and haven't looked back! I'm playing the games how they are meant to be played. Thank you for the excellent service.
- Excellent Product and Service - Piet, 18 January 2021
Very happy with the upgrade, came from a 1070ti massive upgrade.
Was my 1st time trying Wootware order arrived in promised time, They will be my new supplier going forward.
- A quiet monster with all the bells and whistles - Jack, 15 January 2021
I play at 1440p, so my upgrade needed to be fairly powerful. This card has met my expectations and more.
Design-wise, it's pretty large. My older 2070 Super was about 80% of the Palit's length. This increased size isn't an issue, but smaller cases may be a tight squeeze. The RGB lighting is nice, but has to be controlled via Palit's proprietary software and is more of a 'bonus' feature. It isn't hugely visible from the side of the case, but the effect is still a nice added extra.
Performance is of course massive. I'm getting 150fps in Warzone, 200fps in Battlefield 1, 90fps in Red Dead Redemption 2, and where DLSS is enabled the numbers can get very high with ray tracing set to on. For example, Control, a raytracing-heavy game, runs at 80-110fps with all effects and DLSS 'quality' enabled. The Palit delivers when it comes to raw power, and I'm very happy in this regard. DLSS and raytracing are performance and visual game-changers, and I'm surprised more titles don't have these features.
Temperatures are around 68-70c under 100% load, and I can't actually hear the card. I'm a stickler for noise and temperature, so these variables have been very satisfactory. Although the Asus TUF is cooler (~62c), these metrics are very good and I have no complaints.
Overall, I am very pleased. Despite inflated prices, I still recommend the Palit GamingPro OC :)
- Excellent - Nicole, 6 January 2021
The order arrived in good time and in excellent condition. The best part about it is that this card..... won the silicon lottery. It is scoring in the top 1% globally for clock speeds. I am so proud of this card. This is the fist enthusiast card I have ever owned and I love it!
- Excellent for 1080p - Ramone, 3 January 2021
I can play pretty much everything at well over 60fps with this at 1080p... eager to see how it handles 4k
Runs very quiet as well, even under decent stress. - Could not be happier - Vincent, 29 December 2020
Insanely good service from Wootware. I ordered right before Christmas and expected delays due to the festive craziness. Wootware managed to get the card dispatched and delivered 2 days ahead of schedule! Super impressed.
As for the card, it's quite a beast. It's a whole new level of gaming experience coming from a 1060, so I couldn't be happier. I've heard some complaints about heating, and I've noticed it gets a tad warmer than my 1060, but it's not bad at all. Temps idle around ~60°C. Is also quieter than my 1060.
TLDR: Great product, insanely great service! - Does what you would expect... - Louw, 29 December 2020
and sometimes even more! Was scared that a single rail wouldn't power it enough but after two random restarts I haven't had any problems. The upgrade from my GTX 1070 OC was a massive leap and I'm am extremely happy. This is my first non-mainstream branded hardware ever bought but I'm not regretful in the least since it works great so far.
- Great - James, 29 December 2020
Massive upgrade from my 1070. I play @1440p and this card rocks. I can't recommend it enough
- RTX Goodness - Nicholas, 20 December 2020
This RTX3070 card knocks even the largest game out the water, Im really happy with my choice. Highly recommended
- A champion - Jean-Michel, 18 December 2020
This graphics card cuts through obstacles like they're made of a particularly timid and weak variant of butter. High framerates, ultra settings all the way. Highly recommend. Don't see the point in a better card.
- Gaming Beast - Neil, 13 December 2020
Upgrading from a GTX1050 4GB laptop to this Monster. Playing all the games i want on max settings. Paired with an Asus VG249Q TUF Gaming 23.8" Full HD (1920x1080) 144Hz 1ms IPS FreeSync Gaming Desktop Monitor both work amazingly. I would 100% recommend this card and Wootware for the Great speedy speedy service.
- Excellent Upgrade. Cannot be Happier! - Dimitri, 9 December 2020
Upgraded from a GTX 1080 Ti and the performance increase is definitely noticeable.
This card runs cooler at its original fan curve set and when the fans spin up, it is incredibly quiet. It is much lighter than my previous GTX 1080 Ti, therefore much less if even any GPU sag.
Cannot be happier and would recommend the RTX 3070 if you plan to run 1440P 165Hz monitor/s.
- Awesome Upgrade - Nicholas, 7 December 2020
Coming from a GTX750ti, the RTX3070 has just brought a whole new level of gaming and gaming experience to my life. Coupled with the Dell 27inch 165hz Monitor, it continues to blow me away each time I have a gaming session.
- Great card! - Ziyaad, 7 December 2020
Loving this card so far - handles every game I can throw at it at max settings at 1440p without a glitch. Paired with a Ryzen 5600x. Runs nice and quiet and fits in a Phanteks P400A mid tower no problem. Perfect sweet spot for smooth 1440p gaming. Thanks Wootware for amazing service as always!
- Graphics card go Brrrrr - Bruce, 4 December 2020
The card is a pretty "thicc boi" and I thought the sag would be real but surprisingly it isn't, note the back plate is plastic and just aesthetic but despite that the card runs very cool at full load.
Jumping to this from a GTX 1080 at 1080p to 1440p was amazing, DLSS and ray tracing are definitely not just hype, this bad boy chews up everything I have thrown at it thus far.
Side note for everyone regarding 3000 series cards, the news pcb size for this series means lots of GPU's have their power connectors in the middle of the card, I had to reroute my cabling and it just made it because of the design.
- Excellent bang for buck - Thomas, 30 November 2020
Solid GPU at an affordable price for latest generation nvidia GPUs.
Pros:
- Quiet
- Plug and play
- Latest generation nvidia GPU
Cons:
- The Palit control software is clunky (RGB color and OC settings)
- Requires 2 8pin PSU connectors - So Shiiiiny - Calvin, 25 November 2020
What a fantastic card! Coming from a 1060 6Gb, this was a major improvement! Been able to play most my games now at Max settings and its smooth! Temps have been pretty cool so far, and the adjustable RGB lighting is pretty cool as well.
Thanks to Michael from Wootware for the excellent service! - Ideal for Ultrawide gaming (2560x1080) - Daryl M., 17 November 2020
Didn't expect it to be a very quite card even at full fan speed!
Great card! it can handle and maintain boost speeds of 1985mhz at a stable 83'C.
Wootware has great customer service as well, very responsive! - Good Budget product - Shawne-Michael, 16 November 2020
All in all the GPU us pretty decent for being one of its cheaper models, been benching it on some top end games at full graphics and its pretty decent but was expecting a little more to be honest. Would not have been my first option but it was available. Id rather recommend going for its RTX3080 partner, would upgrade if I could.
- Amazing! - Ash, 16 November 2020
Coming from a 5700XT, this card is a bit bonkers. I play at 1440p 144hz and this card is in my opinion the sweet spot. The card itself looks pretty good. RGB is... meh. Please check their ThunderMaster software, there is a BIOS update for the card out the box.
Great service from the Woot team. Not so much from FexEx. - Excellent performance, excellent price - Julio, 16 November 2020
cant beat the value of this card. with a slight overclock i can play every title i own, including the demanding ones like red dead redemption 2 at max settings (at 1440p) and get a decent frame rate of around 75-85. i mean what more do you want. card runs quiet and cool. has a zero fan speed setting when not under load. RGB lighting is a great addition. well worth the upgrade
- Solid PCVR experience - JustJuice, 14 November 2020
I upgraded from a GTX 660 to get into PCVR and the RTX 3070 is doing a solid job at it (most games playable on high settings). In hindsight, the RTX cards that are pre-fitted with water-blocks seem like an attractive option because the fans on this card are loud under load. I'm hoping that this can be improved by optimising the fan-curve. Asus Aura Sync support would've been nice but isn't essential, and Palit is cheaper than it's competition.
- AWESOME! - Mandy, 13 November 2020
From a GTX 970 to this. Massive performance improvement, even on 1080p. Best purchase ever!!
- Unreal! - James, 9 November 2020
Coming from a 1060ti - This is an absolute treat, ran benchmarks of my own and all I can say is wow, wow, wow!
- Very impressive - Ryan, 9 November 2020
The card is exceeding expectations and I have had a very pleasing experience targeting 4K with RTX and DLSS-on in a number of games.
Delivery and packaging from Wootware was top-notch. - Perfect for 1440p - Jacques, 6 November 2020
Card performs very well and runs quite cool. Has a nice look as well.
Overall very happy and impressed with the Palit GP 3070. - Cant go wrong - Jacques, 5 November 2020
This card is a monster. On par with a 2080ti with the up side it is a bit smaller in size. Fits in mid tower with ease. 8GB might not be enough for 4K in 2-3 years. For now it is more than enough.
- Perfect for 1440p/144hz gaming - John C, 5 November 2020
Coming from a 1070-ti, this card is ridiculously perfect for me. I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600, 550W power supply, and a modest overclock on the 3070 (will be pushing the limit to see what it can do, but so far can reach 2050mhz easily). I'm able to get full 1440p 144hz in Modern Warfare 2019 multiplayer on my Gsync monitor using min-maxed settings and no AA. I bought this card to experience Cyberpunk 2077 in all its glory and I have no doubt I will (if/when it launches lol). If you're coming from the GTX 9 or 10 series, this card is worth it, although the price in South Africa will bite you.
Can't beat Wootware for their customer service, they reserved stock for me when my first payment didn't go through, and I know that if something crazy happens and the card dies on me, I can count on them for great support. - I got a beast - Michael, 3 November 2020
So happy with the performance of this card. Would give it 10 stars if I could.
