- Works good. - Jarrod, 7 May 2018
The good:
- You can connect and fully control all the fans connected to this device.
- You can connect a lot of fans.
- Cap can be removed to fit better in some cases.
- Inexpensive and effective.
Things to consider:
- Some fans don't plug in so nice, I had to trim the little plastic guides on some of my fans so it would plug in properly. This is really no big deal though and depends on the fan more than anything.
- All connected fans are controlled as a unit, and cannot be controlled individually. However many fans you have connected will appear as one fan in the bios or application you use, and whatever settings you apply to it will affect all the connected fans equally.
- The hub will ONLY work when plugged into a true PWM 4 pin fan header, it doesn't even power on when not connected to one. So don't be alarmed if it doesn't work when you try it the first time, try a different pin header. Typically the CPU and CPU optional pin headers are true PWM.
