- Best CPU Cooler ever - Luke, 1 November 2022
I recently wrote a review about this cooler mixing it up with the cooler master hyper 212 dual 120, and this cpu cooler has about 10 to 15 degrees cooler temperatures compared even with overclocking
- Performs better than a Cooler Master Hyper H212 Turbo Cooler - Luke, 10 February 2022
I bought this on special for R700, best deal i ever bought!
My ryzen 9 3900 had a 100% 3D Render load with temps of 80 degrees C on this cpu cooler, whereas the Cooler master Hyper H212 Turbo dual cpu cooler reached temperatures of up 92 degrees C, thats 12 more bro!
Although this Phanteks PH-TC12DX cooler has no RGB and sometimes the fan clips can be annoying, its still BETTER in design than cooler master because the clips can be mounted on ANY fan without screws or rubber pads compared to the hyper 212, which does.
The default fan ramping can be loud but it can be changed in the bios or software.
Fits most ram heights im running vengeance RGB pro and it still clears.
Heat pipes are also a bit thicker and have better finishes than the cooler master. - Not rated for High end cpu app use - Luke, 22 November 2021
I bought this cooler on special after owning a cooler master hyper 212 spectrum single 120 mm cpu cooler and although it only has 1 fan it’s still better than the phanteks dual 120 mm cpu cooler at a third of the price.
I’m Using a Ryzen 9 3900 and doing full on 3D rendering for up to 12 hours for a few days at a time, using 100% load on 4.4 ghz the cooler master never reaches temps of 80 degrees maybe even high 70s with minimal fan ramping whereas the phanteks will always reach 89/90 degrees easy! and the fan ramping is terrible,
however if you own a standard Ryzen 5 5th gen and the temps will never reach 70 and idle temps will be a cool 30. my friend also bought a phanteks dual cpu cooler so we know and tested this.
if you compare the price I got for this bad boy at a staggering R600 compared to the hyper 212 spectrum, it barely reaches the R500 price mark in full price but for R1600 on full price, I would not buy this for high end computer use.
Looks nice and all and maybe I installed it incorrectly but those were my test results after reinstalling it. - Not bad - Lourens, 16 October 2021
Replaced my stock cooler with this and i'm getting same temp but difference is it's now overclock to 4ghz.
Wootware customer services is through the roof amazing!!!!! they gave me thermal paste due to nothing on the cooler but there was in the bracket box. regardless they gave me 2 thermal paste package for free thank you so much will come in handy later :p

- Great cooler - Daniel, 16 August 2020
Very easy to install, with good instructions. The white one doesn't look as good as the black it seems, but can't fault it for that. Seems to be quieter than my old CoolerMaster. Fits over RAM, VRM and everything well
- Cool - Wes, 29 July 2020
This beast keeps my Ryzen 5 3600 at 27 degrees on idle, and OC'd to 4.0Ghz, the temperature didn't go above 50. This while playing Apex Legends for an hour, all settings on ultra, 1080p & 144fps.
Extremely impressed with this cooler. - Great performance - J.J., 10 July 2020
Able to keep my R7 2700 well below it's thermal limit. Does come with a bracket for AM4 for anyone unsure. Didn't have any problem installing it.
- Phan-tastic - Carl, 8 July 2020
Great cooler, I would recommend it over the Coolermaster any day of the week (I have both). Although it does not state on the box, it does fit AM4 socket perfectly. I use mine on my Ryzen 5 1600 and it reduced the operating temperatures significantly from the stock cooler.
- Wow! 25 degrees cooler! - Riaan, 7 May 2020
I run an AMD 2600 with the stock Wraith stealth cooler (I think, the small one). My CPu would idle at 45 or so. When running a stress test, the CPU would go up to 78 degrees at stock frequency of 3.7Ghz. If I enabled Game mode in AMD Ryzen Master, setting it to 3.9Ghz, my computer would freeze up.
After installing the cooler, which was super easy, my cpu would idle at about 27 degrees. Doing a stress test it runs at 55 ish degrees. Playing War Zone now with the CPU OC'd to 4Ghz @ 1.3V, the CPU runs at 52 degrees. That is a whopping 23-27 degrees cooler.
I would definitely recommend this cooler and don't think I will ever run a stock cooler again. - Phanteks PH TC12DX. Works well - Ryan, 15 April 2020
A bit loud (not too loud). Keeps cpu nice and cool even under full load.
It looks really nice in the casing. I would say for the price its definitely worth it for me. - Too tall for my old 2006 tower, by 3mm - Christiaan, 29 October 2018
I bought 2 of these models, my first review is on the other color model.
It came with an AM4 bracket (two super long arms. you'll figure it out.) and installing it over a Ryzen 2400G was really simple. However I had some manufacturing flaws with the bracket at first and could not get the screws through the one bracket.
A few bites with a leatherman tip and the screws fit through!
I used the supplied Phanteks Thermal paste and clocked the processor to 4.0GHz on all 4 cores. Seems pretty stable so far, now I have to OC the Vega graphics as well but even under heavy game load (DOOM 2016) I would not notice the fans spinning much higher than at idle.

This does an excellent job of cooling my Ryzen 2600 after adjusting fan curves you can run at 450 RPM and keep your CPU at 35c (ambient system temp round 35c) with dle/low load no problem, it fits snugly when paired with the Phanteks P400s Chassis.
- Excellent product - Dylan, 15 June 2018
Ordered with Wootware, very impressed with how smoothly everything went, the product itself is great, I was running my core temps up to mid 80's before, often overheating during long sessions, now the highest reading I've gotten is 65. I don't really do any overclocking, running a standard 3.5Ghz i5 4690K. Little bit tedious to fit as you have to take the motherboard out to install the backplate, but all round very happy with my purchase.
- good cooler. excellent customer service - Muhammed, 11 June 2017
Got this cooler to go on an AM4 motherboard. The amd mounting kit came with two of the four screws missing. I called wootware on a friday afternoon and within two hours they dispatched a new amd mounting kit.
Fits comfortably in a Phanteks P400s case. Looks nice. Cools nice. Quiet
