| Features | P.A.T.S (Physical Antioxidant Thermal Shield) will greatly increase the cooling performance and reliability while deflecting other thermal radiation from other heat sources, such as the GPU, South Bridge, North Bridge, etc. P.A.T.S, ran at a long period, will display significantly better results in an enclosure, closed environment, than a tech station, open environment. In extreme conditions, PATS is able to withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius. P.A.T.S is environmental friendly and non-toxic. | C.P.S.C (Cold Plasma Spraying Coating Technology) is a brand new technologic forming deposit that displaces heat onto corresponding metals at a quicker rate. With this technology, the Phanteks PH-TC12DX enhances thermal conductivity on the soldered surfaces of the heat-pipes through the copper deposits. | Phanteks PH-F120HP PWM Premium fans uses UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) bearing, Nine blades and MAFO (Maelstrom Air-Fort Optimization) drive system to achieve massive airflow and perfect dynamic balance. The PH-F120HP fans with the support of the anti-acoustic rubber pad and rubber bar produces low level dB(A) and eliminates vibration. With PWM functions built in, PH-F120HP fans allows you to set speed adjustments for either performance and/or silent operation. | Phanteks PH-NDC is made of high purity Nano diamond-like particles to improve the thermal conductance between components. - great product for the price - Daniel, 8 March 2021
Received my cooler last week and after replacing my stock intel i7700 cooler i can immediately notice a improvement in my CPU temperature. For the price you won't get anything better. Installation was simple because of clear instructions. All accessories were include, even thermal paste. I'm super happy. As always Wootware are the best.
- It does what it says on the box - Werner, 25 February 2021
Paired with R5 5600x doesn't go past 70 degrees in games on stock settings boosts pretty well. And looks good with decent ram clearance. Installation is a bit finicky getting the brackets on but doable alone.
Works better than cooler master 212 - Great - Gustav, 28 January 2021
My Temps dropped 30 degrees from the stock AMD cooler. Installed it on my 1600 AF and MSI mortar max motherboard. Just use the backplate that came with the CPU.
- Pretty cool - Chang , 15 January 2021
nice value and not bulky at all but kind of expected more if i remember 1 fan cooler master hyper 212 black edition cools down within the same bracket but less noise (so i would`nt market it as premium high end cooler but phanteks seems to coin that word).
- So far so good - Johnathan, 15 January 2021
Only had for a short while but, playing ARK with FX6300 on stock clock kept temps in mid 40's.
Fitting on the AMD board was a little bit annoying, but not too bad. I found the trick to be loosening the brackets that are attached to the base plate slightly to allow the screws from the heatsink to catch. Then tighten the brackets to the base plate again, followed by tightening the screws from the heatsink.
Hope that saves someone some time. - Amazing and affordable - HappyReviewer, 22 December 2020
Works very well and relatively quiet. Even with all the dimensions listed, keep in mind of the size of this boi.
- Does it's job, but... - Jean-Michel, 18 December 2020
This fan does it's job, but installing it was finicky. It's also ugly and quite noisy when under pressure. But hey, it's affordable and performs well. Make sure you get short RAM though. My 42mm RAM barely fits and the last two DIMM slots are only accessible if I remove the fan and reinstall it later.
- Amazing cooler - Jeandre, 27 November 2020
I love this cooler . I'm running a ryzen7 2700x overclocked and my temps are perfect . On idle it keeps mine at 35 degrees and on load I've not seen it go over 68
- Dead silent - Simon, 12 November 2020
Replaced a very noisy Cooler Master MasterAir MA610P with this one. Installation was straightforward, with all the necessary components and thermal paste provided. Dead silent and keeps my PC cool. Exactly what I was looking for.
- Cool Runnings... - Mogammad, 11 November 2020
My 3rd one and I'll buy another one if needed.Great cooler at a low price.Would be great if it came with Digital RGB Fans...
- Wrait Spire replaced - Avinash, 9 November 2020
Replaced the wraith spire with this guy. +- 4-6 degrees cooler on idle and 6-9 degrees cooler under full load for 10 Mins. Then OC'd to 4.2GHz at 1600 fclock and temp only rose to by 3 degrees more on a 3900. Brilliant cooler.
- Does the job well - Gary, 9 November 2020
Cooler is fairly easy to install, works with AM4 just fine. Only requires the stock backplate but I'm sure most people have that. The cooler is good, much better than my Wraith Prism for my 3700X. I got this cooler as the sound of the other was just awful and I'm happy with this one so far, not too loud at all. The actual cooling is good too. Happy customer, thanks Wootware!
- Great cooler - Heine, 6 October 2020
Easy to install and great value for money. Very nice build quality.
Although the manual does not refer to AM4 it fits perfectly on my Auros B550 Elite M/B.
One thing to keep in mind is that, should you use all 4 RAM slots with tall DIMM's, the right side fan of the cooler is going to be in the way of the DIMM in slot 1. You either need low profile DIMM's or you will have to offset mount the right side fan.
The black and white colour scheme fits perfectly with my black and white build.
Being only 12cm fans, it is still quite a big cooler so make sure it will fit in your case. - Cool, Great Looking, Does the Job - Jonathern, 7 August 2020
I built 90% of my PC through Wootware and well decided to swop out my wraith prism stock cooler with this Phanteks unit. I read and watched plenty reviews to motivate me to order it as per the quality cooling support and can confirm its really doing a bang up job, my temps have dropped by 20c so that worth all the coin already! My case is black and white theme based so the cooler blends in well with all other parts however its a bit snug per spacing, so just fits between all parts, I'd ensure you have a case with adequate space. The only thing I noticed that's given this cooler only 4 stars is that of the mounting, when looking at it and after removing to ensure all is lined up, correctly screwed on as per manuals, the unit rest skew tilting slightly upwards to the right. On the description per site it says there is AM4 support but via the actual product, AM4 is not listed so could be a reason but still fits. Overall brilliant product, awesome cooling and now can run at higher clocks.
- Powerful and effective! - Nash, 22 May 2020
Works really well, super easy to install and is keeping my CPU at nice 37 degrees on a Ryzren 5 3600. Would recommend. Also includes thermal paste in the box, this came in handy since the only paste i had was 7 years old.
- Not great but OK - Mogammad, 18 May 2020
Easy to install on my Maximus X Formula motherboard we without removing the mb.Instructions are a bit unclear.Keeps my 8700k cool enough
- Can't seem to get my CPU hot anymore ;-) - Japie, 14 May 2020
This worked! Full benchmark 20 Minute Prime95 Max heat Small FFT test on Ryzen 3600x, heat only went up to 85 Deg which is good for the Ryzen 3000 series. The boost clocks also hit a frequent 4.4 which it did not do on stock ( only got 4.25) which is another plus point. Easy install and great fit for a medium case.
- Great cooler - Gareth, 11 May 2020
Ordered this for my Ryzen 5. Very good cooler, the best I have come across, temperatures are cool I never hit 60 even when gaming and video rendering. I have paired with Jetflo's so all contributes but highly impressed with this cooler. It is big but really fits in cosmetically. Highly recommended,
- Chunky Boy - Gets the job done - Shane, 4 May 2020
Upgraded my standard Ryzen 5 cooler for this one as I'm doing a lot of CPU heavy CAD and simulations during lock down. Does a great job at keeping my CPU cool, barely goes over 60deg C. Fans are very quiet and don't bother me, even when ramping up. My only issue was with routing the fan harness neatly. Other than that, great product.
- Really quiet and a great performer - Chadley, 29 April 2020
I currently have it cooling my 2500K running 4.2GHz @ 1.32v. Maxes out at 65/66C (my room gets really hot too). This is while fan speed is locked to 50% and now I can't hear my PC at all, it's dead silent. Other than having to fiddle with the fan retention brackets, the installation was easy enough. Aside from the higher-end Noctua coolers, this is perhaps one of the best you will get for air cooling.
- Phanteks Air Cooler - Shaylen, 25 April 2020
Im not gonna lie, epic cooler, hard as hell to install on an AMD board, spent an hour trying to fit this, no regrets! Got 3mm clearance from case glass 3 mm clearance from ram, snug fit all good!
- She is big, powerful and beautiful - Auke, 14 April 2020
She might be big (Something worth considering if your case is small, duh!), but has the astounding ability to keep my Ryzen 5 3600 overclocked at 4.2 GHz well below 80 degrees under synthetic load. I might upgrade the fans to include some of that RGB goodness, but for the time being, she gets the job done. However, since she is rather chunky, I'd recommend playing around with airflow to insure as much heat dissipation as possible if you are planning to overclock. She is solid, reliable, dummy THICC and beautiful.
- Excellent little beast! - Troy, 7 April 2020
Since my pump for my custom loop has started leaking water, I needed a replacement for my 9600k and this item popped up. Extremely good for the price and keeps the temps quite low, idle is around 30-34c and max temp I’ve seen is 75c under cinebench tests. Keep in mind that this is stock and no overclocking was done , although I trust this cooler will do a very good job. Overall this cooler is good quality, cools like a champ, and I would recommend this to anyone that wants a nice looking, good performing air cooler. If I could add more stars I’d make it 8/5 stars!
- Excellent cooler - Paul, 7 April 2020
I'm super impressed! I had no choice but to go back to air as Wootware didn't have stock of a 120mm Watercooler during lockdown, only the 140mm which I dont have space for.
My idle and max temps have come down 20% with overclocking so I'm very happy. It's big and not as elegant as a liquid cooler but does the job.
I'm happy to be back on Air. - Brilliant - Wayne, 5 September 2019
Needed to upgrade from my standard wraith prism cooler because my higher memory speed was causing the CPU temperature and thus the fan to fluctuate.
This cooler is quiet and keeps the CPU nice and cool and it also fits perfectly with my black and white theme. Would highly recommend this cooler. - Just WOW - Emile, 20 August 2019
Very happy I went with this cooler for my Ryzen 5 3600.
Thermal compound included is good quality and installation is super easy.
Coming from a CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ which I purchased in 2008 and had on my i5 4670K, I had high expectations and am glad I picked this over the Hyper 212 RGB.
It kept the CPU at 78C on a 10min AIDA64 FPU test (which runs a lot hotter than the CPU test), while not being loud at all. (And I did this without case fans active to hear how the cooler sounded under stress).
CPU runs at 4.2GHz without overclocking from my side.
Also looks nice, so I'm very happy with this cooler and would 100% buy again.
Might swap out the fans in the future for RGB, but they're very quiet and move a lot of air so I'm going to keep them for a few years.
They've also eliminated the need for a case fan in the back, as the dual fans blowing out the back move enough air out that I could place the back fan above the CPU cooler's dead spot. - Okay Cooler - Johann, 26 July 2019
The performance of the cooler is great for the price, however, when I received my cooler, the top plate with the Phanteks logo had dents from what looked like the heat pipes from the bottom. That same plate was bent on the edges. The metal fin stack seems to be of soft metal quality, so not great, especially with the clips that holds the fans in place. With that said. For the price, this cooler does and amazing job. At first I was skeptical about mounting options for AM4 sockets, but it comes with the brackets included and works perfectly with the AM4 socket.
- Great cooler - Timothy, 20 May 2019
Keeps my 8700(non-k) at around 33C when idling and it rarely goes above 70C when under load. Can confirm that it fits nicely in the p400s and that the installation process is extremely straightforward.
- Better than my AIO? - Christiaan, 29 October 2018
I got this to replace the Masterliquid 240 Pro in my system, mostly because I was selling my desktop and didn't want the owner to hassle with a rusted AIO in 5 months and bug me about it (not that the water would rust the block or the pump would die, but why take the risk?)
Installing was simple enough, it has AM4 brackets included in the box and using the supplied Thermal paste was a breeze to apply.
15 minutes later my old pump was disconnected and the new cooler installed on an AMD 1800x.
And who would have guessed, a few days after I sold it (The school I work at are using it for an AR sandbox in the geography department) but before I handed it over, I've had to run video conversions for our security cameras.
Maxed out running at 3.7GHz on all 8 cores, the package temp is around 48C (according to Asrock fan utility).
Well worth the price, also look at any 120mm fan in your system; these radiators are massive!

I would recommend this to anyone buying an i7 8700k, my temps on idle are between 38 - 47 and playing pubg maxed out for a few hours it goes up to about 73 peak. On a side not, the cooler is a tall just take that into account if you have a small case.
- Perfect 120mm cooler - Aidan, 18 December 2017
Keeps a 250 watt CPU pretty cool whilst still being near silent.
Vastly outperforms both my Cooler Master Hyper 212x & MasterAir Pro 4 (~20/24C cooler on a 250watt cpu). - Exceeded my expectations - Jarrod, 22 February 2017
Cools my i7 6700k very well. STOCK clock speeds > idle temps were 21 to 23 degrees c. Synthetic load temps (aida64 and Realbench) were around 63 to 68 degrees c. Gaming load temps were around 44 to 60 degrees c depending on game, for perspective FarCry 4 cpu temps were around 54 degrees c.
With a mild overclock of 4.4Ghz idle temps were around 24 to 26 degrees c. Synthetic load temps (aida64 and Realbench) were around 68 to 74 degrees c.Gaming load temps were the same as stock or near as makes no difference.
These are the temperatures I PERSONALLY am getting so don't expect to get the exact same numbers in your own system, but rather take this as a level of expectation, your results may differ especially if your case is not well ventilated (mine is moderately well ventilated).
This cooler offers excellent value for money, even more so than the popular Cooler Master Hyper 212x which retails for R900, comes with just one fan, and doesn't perform any better or worse in my experience. I was initially worried that this cooler wouldn't cool my cpu well enough but actually does, and very well too.The build quality was also surprising, it felt solid and well designed, it felt more expensive than it was. The mounting process is very easy too. The level of noise the fans produce is on the low side, which is good.
Lastly... If you specifically plan on achieving the best possible benchmark scores using synthetic benchmarking programmes and stress testers, then this cooler will not be good enough. However if you just want to get a good overclock, do your stability tests and then just play games and use you pc like a normal human then buy this. - Very nice cooler - Bennie, 13 January 2017
Its a very nice cooler and does the job well. The installation is probably the easiest I have ever done and runs very quit. I went from a Corsair GT110 to this. I can confirm that it fits in a Phantek p400s. My idle is about 44 and gaming for about 3 hours is 65-68. Room temp is 35-38(I live in hell). The fans were running to about +-1300 rpm during the 3 hours and I couldnt hear them. I used the thermal compound that came with the cooler.
