- Very good mouse...but! - Eugene, 15 February 2019
This is a fantastic mouse. I have very large hands, which was the very reason why I purchased this particular mouse. The software was challenging to to install. Although intuitive there were bugs that prevent me from installing it. I had to wait for the first update before I could actually use the driver. Once I had it up and running it was an amazing experience. I actually cannot describe how great this mouse is. Everything from the buttons to the scroll. Fantastic mouse. The problem is the mouse wheel. Its been 1 year and 10 days and the mouse wheel started missing strolls. It was as if the mouse was missing a heart beat. It frequency increased exponentially in the next hour, so much so that the scroll was almost dead making the mouse unusable. I tried finding a solution on the internet. Firstly for this mouse, a insignificant number of people appear to having the same problem, however problems were reported. On this brand but old mice, it seems this is something that happens to the Roccat mice. Either the sensor pin is made of cheap plastic and breaks or the dust interferes with the censor. Either way, I cant be paying almost R2000 every year for a new mouse. From a performance perspective, this mouse was fantastic. I would give the mouse and Wootware delivery 5 stars. As for the quality of the product, although very good at face value, for it to break just over a year feels like I have been robbed. That's just not okay. In this context I would advise anyone to be very careful before purchasing this mouse. I would thus give this mouse a rating of 0 star. To average all this out ends up with 2 stars for this product.
