- Great option overall - Shaun, 31 December 2023
Great build quality and finish, even if plastic, and a massive improvement in audio quality over the MSI and Redragon stuff it replaced.
I love the volume control and flip-mute function, just deducting a start due to the flimsy feeling cable which is unfortunately also not detachable - Great for the most part. - Dragon, 18 December 2023
Sound is pretty good, not on the level of something like the hd599 or hd560s but its one of the best in its price range, especially considering the built in mic. Only complaint is that the earpads have a tendency to split at the internal seam after a couple months, I've replaced them twice by now.
- Great Sound good mic - Marinus, 26 May 2023
Great product, gets loud enough with 0 to low distortion depending on how your equalizer settings are setup. Only gripe is ears get hot after prolonged use which incentivizes frequent breaks which is a good thing anyway.
- Solid headphone for the price - Jaco, 12 June 2022
Comfort:
its pretty comfortable, even when wearing it for long sessions, it does get a little hot around the ears in warmer weather, so keep that in mind.
the pads is a faux leather with memory foam padding.
Build:
The build is pretty good considering that its mainly plastic (good quality), no creaking or rubbing when adjusting the earcups.
The earpads are removable and they are sold separately, although I would've like to have the option of have velour pads available as they are more comfortable on the HD 560S for example. It feels fairly large on your head, compared to other headphones I've tried.
It is super efficient, and can be driven pretty easily by anything and sounds great on even a phone, with it having an impedance of only 19ohms with a sound pressure level of 113DB per mw.
Sound portion:
Bass:
The base is clean and the quality is pretty good, although the sub-bass is pretty recessed, nothing wrong with the quality, the quantity is fairly lacking.
Mids:
The mids are a bit forward, vocal separation is okay, although it wouldn't compare to say a 560S or the like, but for the price its pretty good, it has a bit dark or veiled sound signature to it in the upper-mid and treble range. The sound stage is pretty narrow and intimate, the sound is more or less a line in your head from ear to ear. imaging is pretty good, its able to display where a sound is coming from pretty well, and
Treble:
the treble is fairly lacking, the quality again is good, the quantity is pretty lacking in my opinion, drum cymbals and "S"- sounds in particular gives it a veiled sound signature
Microphone:
the microphone is pretty good compared what I've heard on other headphones more or less on par with a Razer Kraken's microphone
conclusion: With a little bit of EQ, it is definitely worth the asking price - Sennheiser GSP 300 review - Rene, 21 July 2021
This is my first Wired headset in years, coming from a history of Wireless headsets.
The first thing you notice when unpacking the headset is how light it is, it feels extremely light but importantly, not cheap! Even though it's all plastic it feels sturdy and well built.
It's also extremely comfy even after prolonged usage I found no issues with discomfort or anything. On the sound side it's good out of the box but this is also where my one gripe comes in. There is no bundled software, so if your onboard soundcard does not have a audio suite with an equalizer you are forced to download a third party suite to set stuff like bass, treble and mids. I use an Asus Z490 TUF Gaming and my soundcard software does not offer these things so I had to resort to a third party solution that had an equalizer. not a big issue but a minor annoyance non the less.
The rest is all top notch, this is a great wired headset for it's price and recommended if you are looking for something that has 3.5mm jacks and not USB.
- Great Product - Adriaan, 4 March 2021
This is a very good quality and awesome headset just the right thing to have.
- Value for money - Joel, 9 August 2020
For the price this is a great headset. The bass is a little lacking if you're using it for music but it is adequate enough for movies/media. Mic sound is clear and noise cancelling works well.
As for comfort, they are VERY comfortable, even when wearing glasses. The pressure is not too much and it clamps a little lower and so doesnt put pressure on the top of the ears where the arms of glasses would go. Padding on the muffs and band are also very ample and they do not hurt the head at all.
- German engineering at it's best - Wayne, 5 August 2020
The sound quality is great, the mic needs a bit of tweaking but once you got it right it's great too (or so my friends tell me on discord) BUT, if you have a slightly above average size head this might not fit you. I have the headband on max extension and it just fits me, but it is super comfortable
- Awesome sub R1500 headset - Sennheiser GSP 300 - Tian, 23 July 2020
Really a good purchase for the price. Sound quality is probably comparable to the Hyper Alphas. The mic is very clear and sharp. Only think I don't like is that the mic is not adjustable. It's either up or down. But this doesn't degrade the fact that its very good.
- Great Heaphones - Gregor, 16 July 2020
Pros: Great sound, great isolation, great mic.
Cons: Ears get hot
The sound quality of these headphones is great. Plenty bass, and clear sound. They seal very well around the ear, so they block out ambient noise almost totally, but that also heats up your ears (no air movement). These block out ambient noise more than my other closed headphones, so just take note. - Good - Christopher, 15 July 2020
Sound quality and mic quality are good, for games and skype calls. Ear pads are really soft which helps when you wear them for long periods of time. My only issue is that my ears slightly touches the driver which gets uncomfortable as they are quite hard. Cable is strange... quite rubbery
- Best of the best as Sennheiser always are. - Ross, 11 June 2019
Great sounding highs and lows with a decent bass. VERY comfy. Best in its price class...
- Good headphones - Shafeeq , 15 April 2019
These headphones are good but lacking in the base department. I own a pair of hyperx cloud stingers as well and, I personally prefer the sound from them. The hyperx is cheaper, but not as comfortable. If you looking for better sound than go for the stinger, however if comfort is more important then go for the Gsp 300. The mic on the GSP300 is better as well
- great headset - Rainer, 9 December 2018
I have own this pair of sennheiser headphone for around 7 to 8 months and so far no issues the only thing is south African weather in some places will make this headset uncomfortable to wear so be sure to put on the air-con
- Excellent - Chris, 7 December 2018
Really light and comfortable and has great noise cancellation, crisp sound and very durable.
I can wear this for hours without any strain on my head or ears.
The volume button on the right is very nice to turn and easy to reach but it doesn't mute the sound when you turn it all the way down.
The mic is also a lot better compared to other headsets at this price.
I can see this maybe not fitting people with larger than usual heads as the max headband setting fits my average sized head just right.
