- An Amazing Piece of Hardware - Ashlord, 3 January 2019
Have had this laptop for a bit over 2 weeks and all i have to say is what a deal. If you are like me, a huge computer nerd, getting this kind of design, specs and temperatures at around R20k (w/o windows) is a steal.
Pros: Performance (crushes anything you throw at it), 144hz beautfiul display, gorgeous and compact design (the only 15 inch laptop smaller than this is the xps 15 and the 15 inch razer blade), upgrade ability.
Cons: A little rough around the edges (literally), battery life is not the best (2-4 hours) {a battery upgrade can be purchased through a hong kong website, more info on Bob of all trades' video} Hopefully Wootware can get stock of these batteries for us <3, having to explain what kind of laptop it is when people ask you "so is it a dell or an hp?"
I recommend to anyone wanting to get familiar with this chassis (the tongfang gk5cn6z) go on youtube and search "Bob of all trades eluktroniks mech g2" and "Bob of all trades overpowered laptop" to get a very in depth analysis of this chassis. If youtube isn't your thing you can check notebookreview they reviewed this chassis twice.
Highly recommended for anyone with a passion for computer hardware.
