- Bang for your Buck - Luc, 29 June 2020
XFX's 590 is a decent card compared to similar cards in the budget price range. It can handle 1080 gaming well, yet there is a known issue that this card get hot and the fans can get noisy, but I would recommend using a GPU software to adjust fan settings to your liking. I am experiencing an annoying amount of coil whine that is directly coming from the gpu when it loads frames in games and seems to travel through aux headsets(hopefully a usb DAC should help) - but coil whine is a issue plaguing many pc user, varying from many hardware sources. Anyway this card is not bad, maybe consider Nvidia's 1660 super(similar price with better cooling).
- Still a solid card - VanScram, 3 February 2020
It's been a while since I've owned an AMD card. My budget didn't allow for one of the higher end options currently available, so the choice came down to the 5500XT and this card.
This card, despite its age, still beats the newer 5500xt in the vast majority of titles. The fact that it also supports the Vulcan API is an added bonus since more and more game developers are opting to use Vulcan instead of DirectX, the latter which is, in reality, very badly optimised for game development. But, as always, DirectX was/is a monopoly setup, which means no need was seen to improve what it has to offer or to improve its performance. Vulcan on the other hand offers way better performance with a huge reduction in API overhead, which means game performance gets a significant boost if you've got a card which supports Vulcan such as this one. That also means that supporting cards will end up having a much longer lifespan when it comes to titles based on Vulcan, extending time between GPU upgrades significantly.
This card NEEDS two separate PCI power outputs to run properly, otherwise it just shuts down when you start gaming, so keep that in mind. It also runs HOT. It is essential that you set up a decent fan curve in Adrenalin to ensure that the card stays cool enough to do its job in-game, otherwise it just bails. Took me a while to tune it so that I got a decent balance between fan noise and cooling; currently it tops out at 73C @ roughly 3500rpm fan speed in game. The fan gets noisy, but if you've got a headset on it's not really noticeable (my case sits about half a meter away from me on the table).
TLDR: This card can play most AAA titles at max settings and all AAA titles at high settings at 1080p without breaking a sweat. Vulcan support is an added bonus. Just make sure you tune that fan curve, otherwise it overheats. Drivers and software Adrenalin 2020 also major improvement over that which was offered in 2019. Highly recommended if you're on a budget. Minimum two separate power outs needed from your PSU to properly feed this beast - wouldn't go below 650w PSU for that reason. - Awesome product - Gareth, 11 October 2019

- Awesome Card for a good price! - Channing, 9 February 2019
This card destroys everything I throw at it. I am thoroughly impressed and I highly recommend it. It likes DirectX 12 titles especially.
- Fun times! - Thabiso, 7 January 2019
Really does the job for 1080p gaming! No issues at all!
- Card is better than I thought - Fritz, 26 December 2018
This card is well worth it. I run every game on max graphics and my FPS on the games is amazing Example Destiny 2 does not drop under 70 FPS on my rig. The division everything max and run smooth. I can go on how good this card is with each game so overall this is a winner and recommended
