- Very good Card - Johnny, 20 April 2017
Every game tested so far full graphics more than 100fps (1920/1080). Card doesn't get very hot and fans are quiet. Fans only start after gpu reaches more than 45 degrees celcius. For the price this card is fabulous.
- Highly recommended - James, 3 March 2017
Plays all AAA titles at 1080p over 100fps easy. I do plan on getting a second one with a 4k monitor in the future.
Really great card, I recommend this over the 1080 as the price -> performance is just amazing. - Amazing card - Robert, 15 February 2017
I upgraded from a Gigabyte Windforce 3 OC 970 to this.
The most demanding game I have is Witcher 3 and I had 3/5 settings maxed out before with Hairworks off and got 60fps- with Hairworks on I got 45fps.
Now with this beauty I get 60-100fps with everything maxed out Hairworks on full AA.
I am a tad disappointed with the cooling though, idle temp is 40-43C with the fans on 0 RPM, if I put the fans on at 75% or even 100% the card never goes below 40C, it is quite strange (the fans are barely audible at 100% btw), however it's never gone above 70C which is the same as my 970 which had 3 fans and was pretty loud at full load.
The build quality is amazing, the yellow (one of my worst colours) actually looks amazing in the case. It's not as big as people make it out to be imo, it's as long as my 970 but quite a bit thicker and the build quality over my 970 is waaaay better (quite disappointed with Gigabyte, albeit not the highest end 970, my EVGA SC 960 with 1 fan was built better than that Gigabyte).
5 stars deserved imo, Zotac is now second to EVGA for build quality for Nvidia products and the warranty is great too. - Great card, if a little big - Kevin, 9 February 2017
I upgraded to this card from an EVGA GTX970 and I am definitely seeing a more stable frame rate in games like ARMA3, The Division and GTA5 with graphics either maxed or very close to maxed. The build quality of this card is great with a solid feeling backplate and a VERY adequate heatsink and cooling fan.
This however leads to some of the downsides for this card and the only reason its not a full 5 stars in my opinion. This card is HUGE for Zotac's "standard" 1070 release. It also requires 2x8-pin connectors to drive this card when the founders edition only needs 1. This is in my opinion a massive overkill as the GTX1070s only use 150 watts. 1 8-pin connector provides 150 watts and the PCIe motherboard connection provides an additional 75 watts, totaling 225 watts, this is more than enough to run a GTX1070 and additional cooling. It seems most manufacturers are going for the marketing aspect of "well if it has more power connectors and much bigger fans it must be better" when most cards running the same chips run within a frame or two of one another. All this additional size and weight can cause most standard cases to become cramped. If you have a large case this wont be an issue for you. Zotac also sells their GTX1070 mini which is a much better form factor for standard PC cases and benchmarks comparatively. And only look at the AMP! and the Extreme edition if you have ample space within your PC case and a beefy PSU with ample connectors.
Even with the above in mind this is a fantastic card that is a worthy upgrade from it's counterpart in the previous generation of cards, the 970, and I am very happy with it. - Great card for a great price! - Christo, 11 January 2017
Very happy with this card. It preforms as expected with no problems at all. It also looks beautiful and can run any game at 1080p max with 120 fps+.
Solid card
Very happy with it!
10/10 - Great Card! - Marius, 19 December 2016
I'm very impressed with the build quality and the performance of the card, its not very loud even at 100% fan speed and it still stays relatively cool. The different lighting options is also a nice feature to have if you care about the looks. The only negative thing I can say about it is the yellow stripes on the card if you care about colour matching your hardware.
As always great service from wootware and will always recommend them. - Great product - Louis, 14 December 2016
Very impressed with the build quality on this card.
Temperatures also seem fine even though it does not have a cooler as good as the amp extreme.
As always great service from wootware! - The Best Card and Service - Taine, 30 November 2016
Ordered this card as an upgrade from my GTX 970 and just... WOW! Absolutely amazing performance from the card and amazing service from Wootware.
I ordered the card and received it the very next day. The build quality and finish on the card is absolutely beautiful. Some would think the yellow on the backplate is a bit of an eyesore in a non-yellow themed case, however it actually adds a very good element to your case or test bench. This is the first time I've purchased a Zotac card and I was a bit skeptical at first but I am really impressed by its performance and quality. The only thing that someone might find to be a problem is the size for it is quite HUGE. Other than that, an all around amazing performer.
Definitely would recommend this card to anyone! - Best gift ever - Johann, 31 October 2016
My friend got me this card as a gift really amazing performance. Booster to 2012 Mhz out of the box. The build quality is excellent fans are very quiet at 70% and up. Lots of people are complaining about the backplate, but in person it looks really great. Zotac is fast moving to be one of the best GPU Suppliers, they really take the extra time in building a quality product.
- Amazing card! - Justin, 12 October 2016
Where to start... This is simply one amazing graphics card. The gains from this new architecture from Nvidia is just amazing, combined with the efforts from Zotac in engineering the PCB and Cooler. Performance is amazing at this price! Specific Zotac features that make this card one of the best out there:
- 3 Year Warranty!
- Great build quality with mostly metal shroud and backplate, weighty but not excessive where sag will become an issue
- Cooler performs exceptionally, keeping the card at 60-65c at 90-100% GPU load
- Fans off in idle and absolutely quiet in peak gaming! I cannot hear this cards fans above my case fans which are all 140mm and quiet themselves
- Fan speed peaks at 50% around 1000 rpm
- Lighting effects and controls are good, but not essential to me, performance is king
- The card I received has Samsung GDDR5 chips
- Boost clock is stated at 1797mhz however this boosts to 1926mhz without touching a thing and staying there! GPU boost 3.0 FTW! I dont see the need to overclock further
- No coil whine whatsoever
- I thought the yellow on the backplate would stand out like a sore thumb but it actually works really well and is unique. Pictures don't really do it justice
This is the first time I purchased and used a Zotac graphics card and I am impressed with what they have put out. Definitely a recommended purchase!
