First thing to mention is that I went with the ram upgrade. Which takes the laptop from 8gb - 12gb.

Have had no issue working with the laptop. Using for Office/Development work. Runs very nicely. Will recommend easily.

Overall a great laptop for a student or casual use. If you use your laptop for 8 hours a day, you'll want to spend a bit more and get a better (IPS) screen. The resolution is good, but viewing angles are not great and this can be annoying. The processor is very capable, the chassis is built well, good battery life, and the keyboard is good. There is a fingerprint reader in the power button, which is not in the description, but has turned out to be a very useful feature. The 8GB of RAM might not be enough, since 2GB is reserved for the graphics, but you can apparently upgrade it.

For the money, it is unbeatable - came with a backlit keyboard as well which was not advertised and was a nice bonus. The CPU is incredibly efficient and powerful and the laptop can easily last a single loadshedding session with the potential of a 4-hour one if you manage the screen brightness and power usage (it can definitely do so doing normal admin work). The only downside would be the screen which is a TN panel with doesn't have the colour reproduction or superior viewing angles of an IPS screen but you will pay at least a few thousand more just for that. All in all, pretty much the best laptop in its price segment and no Intel equivalent can come close.
