Because I wanted to use my Seagate ST4000VN006 Ironwolf 4TB 5400RPM 256MB Cache 3.5" Internal NAS Hard Drive as my main back-up and did not want to install the HDD internally on my PC and opted for a Maiwo DS-1B-SATA-USB3-M K308 2.5" & 3.5" Single-Bay Docking Station. The combination work without problems. Very happy with my purchase.

This 'Toaster' was perfect for my needs. Great for gaining quick and easy access to old tech drives. Previously, I had to fire up my old PC, transfer files to an external drive, etc. It works great. Sometimes you need to adjust the angle on the drive a bit, but nothing serious. Great value for money.
