At last I know for sure whether the issue is power or somewhere else. It quickly ran through the stack of old power supplies I was unsure about and eliminated all but 1. Now I know for sure those 8 can go to e-waste recycling.

Used it very briefly- the only type of use it really sees- made the process SO MUCH faster to test a psu. visual and audiable beep if there are any issues, also remains on a few seconds if power is cut to indicate where issue is. 110% reccommended, zero issues so far, readings seems accurate.
