This keyboard is great. The keystrokes feel nice and satisfying. It's not as loud or tinny like other mechanical keyboards I've used in the past, which is great if you're planning on using it in the office or around other people. The keyboard feels solid and robust, despite its full plastic build. The software to configure macros and the backlight is very good, you don't need to install anything (just use your web browser) and it's easy and intuitive to use.

There are two big downsides for me with this keyboard.
1. There are no indicator lights for Num Lock, Caps Lock or Scroll Lock. You can configure the backlight to indicate these functions, but even so it's nearly impossible to tell whether Caps Lock is active at a glance. I would have much preferred that it had dedicated indicator LEDs.

2. The backlight is just bad and might as well not have been included. It's just a cosmetic gimmick and serves no real practical purpose. The keycaps aren't shine through so the backlight does not help when using the keyboard in a dark room and the south facing lights are obscured by the keycaps so using the backlight as indicator lights as stated above isn't very effective either.

Regardless of these I still believe this is probably the best premium full size mechanical keyboard you can buy at this price point. Keychron is a reputable brand and the keyboard looks like it would be easy to maintain and service. I suspect that this unit will last me for many years with the options to replace switches and with support for spare parts from the manufacturer.

This is a great keyboard if you're looking to dip your toe into the "thocky" and custom built keyboard community. It's super satisfying to use over a traditional gaming keyboard like my Logitech g915 or corsair k65. It's wireless functionality is also solid, I've had no issues playing games like Battlefield 6, Overwatch or Helldivers 2.

I do have a gripe with its lighting though. It doesn't have lights in the top right corner to show you caps lock jumlock or scroll lock, rather there are lights that light up below those keys that are completely obscured by other keys. It's a slight nuisance, especially in games that work with those keys, but only really an inconvenience. Getting keycaps that shine through can help (which I want to do anyway).

Don't let the plastic frame dissuade you either. I would also prefer a metal body but this board is built solid.

Overall a near perfect board that's got some small nuisances, but absolutely worth the buy.
