At this price point you will not find a laptop with these specs, a great screen and exceptional build quality. Had this laptop for a month now and so far I'm loving it, battery life is anywhere from 6-10 hours depending on what you are doing, gaming performance is great at 1440p although you might not max out every single title out there, it does get quite hot if you push it at stock settings (i'm talking 95C on the CPU) but this can easily be fixed by disabling turbo boost if that's a compromise you're willing to make.

As for software on my side I have had no issues after installing drivers from wootware although I did update the control center from XMG's website which made everything feel more responsive. I would recommend checking out their website if you need to update your drivers as some of the ones Wootware provide are a bit outdated. This model is called the XMG neo 15 AMD version on the website.

The screen was a standout feature. It looks so good. When I game the colors really stand out and the 165hz panel feels smooth in your fps games that require high framerates. The 1440p resolution allows me to see more content at a time which really comes in clutch when I'm coding or even viewing normal documents on word.

The keyboard feels much nicer than my old gaming laptop, it does take time to get used to but eventually you'll get the hang of it, on the bright side it looks damn good with all the RGB.

Perhaps the most impressive feature of this laptop apart from the battery life is the option of customizing the CPU/GPU profiles and even full control of the fan speed. It is rare to find this level of customization even among high end laptops.

This is an amazing laptop, but this laptop is for enthusiast level people and if you don’t have a good understanding of computers it’s not the best buy. I have had mine for over 2 months and encountered a few problems that require a great knowledge fix. I have had to reset the CMOS (pc wouldn’t turn on) and redo the control centre. The build quality is amazing for a gaming laptop. The keyboard is my favourite laptop keyboard but it does take getting used to. The cooling performance on this laptop is crazy.

I bought this laptop due to being out of the country most of the time.
Compared to other products with similar specs, this laptop is unmatched.
It is a beast of a device, and can run games fine without requiring a cooling pad, although I recommend one. GPU is overclockable with MAX TGP of 130W, which is impressive, since I have stress tested it at that power without thermal throttling at max fan speeds. CPU, on the other hand, thermal throttles to about 70W of power usage at max fan speeds on a power adjusted to 95W TDP on a stress test in CB R23 but that is more than expected for a 45W part.
the 1440p 165Hz panel has great fidelity and colour, and is unmatched by other vendors in this price bracket (Usually other vendors sport a 1080p 144Hz IPS monitor.)
With easy configurable power profiles, this device can run cool and quiet for office, or hot loud and heavy for high end 1440p gaming, while always feeling responsive and fast.
I recommend at least a 500GB SSD (I have 1TB) and 16GB RAM

All in all, this thing rocks at Gaming, Streaming, Video editing and other productivity tasks. There is also no way you can buy a desktop PC with these specs for cheaper in this current market.

As for Wootware, always on point with packaging and asked the right questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted. You guys rock!

We had to procure a workstation for Solidworks on a very tight budget and with the GPU situation on the desktop platform this brilliant little machine filled the gap. I was pleasantly surprised with the sturdy build quality and finishes. I hope there will be 12 gen wootbooks available soon as I would love a personal one as well.

Everything working well so far. One small annoyance: Touchpad toggle on/off is at top left corner (think this is a HP design) and touchpad sometimes gets toggled accidentally when typing. Tried disabling touchpad in device manager but doesn't work (windows 11 perhaps) will try touchpad blocker next.

Had mine for 8 months before returning it. Was hoping some driver updates with time would fix, but never happaned.
- Daily occasional audio lags for about a second while playing music or watching a video.
- Using external monitor, hdmi or DP, makes these blurry boxes around the win10 login box where you enter password.
- Using external monitor with DP, with a USB-c to DP adapter, causes the monitor to wake every min in an infinite loop while laptop is sleeping.
- Blue screens of death about once a week with no apparent reason. Especially when waking from sleep. Have the logs for it. Wootware cannot replicate.
- Unable to install latest drivers from manufacturer for some hardware without breaking, especially for the ethernet.
- Passing USB HDD through to a VM an copying files on or off it is less than 1MB/s, while doing the same on my old i5-3570k is the proper 35MB/s.

There are probably more annoyances and weird things I've seen this thing do, I just cannot think of them now.

Bought this laptop with 1tb ssd and 32GB ram(3200Mhz), I run every game on max graphics with no issue at all.
I use it for work as well with large enterprize CCTV systems that put alot of strain on CPU and Graphics and it handles it wonderfully!!

Bought this primarily to edit 4k Multicam footage in Davinci Resolve. I took a risk and bought this instead of a desktop, as a desktop with the same specs was R10k extra. I'm very impressed with this machine, it handles 4k footage very well and export times are super fast.

Build quality is solid, love the 2k display.

Battery life is very good for office usage I get over 5 hours, while with high GPU usage applications it's low, I get under 2 hours while editing 4k footage running on just the battery.

Overall very impressed, this CPU and GPU combination is magic.

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made, I am so impressed with this laptop and the incredible value for money. Coupled with the absolutely amazing service from Wootware. If I could add a 10 star rating I would.

The build quality is far better than I expected, this little laptop is is so sleek with no branding and the best part of it is the lack of bloatware that usually comes with laptops, it's a squeaky clean installation. The pre-loaded Windows Pro installation was perfect and the drivers were all correct, I unpacked the laptop, started it up and it was ready to go without any hassles.

They included all the packaging of the RAM and SSDs I chose in my configuration so I could see that they installed exactly what I ordered.

As always, very pleased with Wootware and their service. Great experiencing and good communication throughout the process, which is great when customizing a build like this.

As for the laptop, fantastic option for the price range. I purchased this primarily for development purposes, so 8C/16T is great, and the option for 32 RAM is awesome. Having choice of 3 year warranty is great for business purchase as well.

Pros:
Performance is very good, especially in Turbo mode, and battery life is decent when using Office mode. Build feels solid, slightly bigger than expected, but within reason for this class of laptop. Screen is amazing, 1440p165 is a dream. RTX 3060 performs well and temps and noise are quite good (my 2018 Macbook Pro ran hotter than this). Mechanical keys are nice, but...

Cons:
...I can't get used to the slightly odd keyboard layout; feels off center and numpad layout throws off years of muscle memory. The border bottom of the screen feels like this really could have been a 16:10 option.

That said, I can highly recommend these. Better than some big brands I've used in the past for way better price.

Great build quality and decent performance at hard to be beat value. In SA, Wootware might even provide impossible to beat value (great service at a great price). Google reviews say it all. How many companies do you see getting an average 4.9 star rating for over 1700 reviews?

I can't complain about this laptop. It has exceeded my expectations. Considering the GPU, CPU, (also 32Gb RAM, 1TB SSD I chose) and the extra bells and whistles for a relatively cheap price in laptop terms, along with the build quality that doesn't feel cheap at all.

If I have to really try nitpick, the speakers are not great but are serviceable (I anyway use mostly headphones so don't really care).

Noise levels are low and laptop remains cool for general use. Laptop then gets hot and a bit noisy with graphics intensive gaming which is normal for a gaming laptop. I found a well vented laptop stand with additional silent fans helps a lot with cooling while gaming.
