I'd first like to thank Wootware for their excellent service and quick delivery.

I was in the market for a gaming laptop and I stumbled across these guys. My budget from browsing other shops in was at least a 4070. To my shock I found a wootbook with a 4080 at 40k bucks which is a steal. That's close to half the price of other brands in SA shops so you can understand why I thought it was probably a scam. (Don't worry it's completely legit, they just have crazy deals)

I got the 13900hx with the 4080 variant and it's as fast as you expect it to be, the 2k screen is gorgeous and bright but a few very minor gripes I have it's that it doesn't have advanced optimus.
The camera is not good, the speakers and mic are meh but luckily there's enough ports on it to add peripheries on to it.

Even with the downsides, they are minor compared to the pluses you get for this price so if you're gaming, you are gonna love it.

This is a monster laptop, at ridiculously low cost and outwitting all competitive known same class brands. [guess the old saying, “pay more for a name” come to mind]. Stickers come in separate bag and can be placed by owner. [usually the first thing I remove]

Firing up this system, after using an old i7 laptop with standard drive, GPU and memory, was an awesome experience. Nearly instant boot and system/apps speed.

You will need to get use to the keyboard layout, as it has no extreme bottom-right enter-key, as with older systems. The mouse pad is sensitive and responsive, but alas I am still and old external mouse fan.

Running on office mode, the system run cool as a stand-alone unit.
Doing gaming on balanced/turbo mode, as with any laptop, it tends to run a bit hot. I would strongly advise in setting up some cooling for doing gaming. This will not only enhance cooling, but also ensure long-lived expectancy of components. This unit is liquid-cooling ready, but currently not readily available in South-Africa. Excellent service from Wootware as always - they always over-deliver! Laptop arrived much earlier than expected. This is my second WootBook (I have a 3-year old WootBook Metal that I use for work). Laptop is disgustingly good value for money (i9, RTX 4080, 32gb RAM, 2TB SSD). It's well put together and sturdy. I'm good to go for work and gaming now. Thanks again.

I have been a gaming/performance laptop user for many years now and have always stuck to your usual mainstream brand laptops. For the past few years the word 'tongfang" has been popping up in my social circles. I have had my eye on the wootbooks now for a few years and decided to finally give it a go. The price to performance ratio is was grabbed my attention. For the same specs ( i9, RTX 4080, 64gb RAM, 4TB SSD) in a mainstream laptop from your competitors would have cost north of R80 000. Although I was sceptical I went through the process of speaking to the sales and help teams and that just solidified my trust and respect for your product and company even more. I received quick, insightful and understanding help from your team as well as a positive and king attitude towards my sometimes silly questions. Once I had purchased the laptop, it came 3 weeks earlier than was estimated. Perfectly packed and all the little component stickers in a little packet and not on the laptop which is fantastic! It also came with a signed document containing a check list of all the components working in the correct manner. Up until this point the Laptop has run all programs and games so so so wonderfully. The control Centre works like a dream and the power modes have a significant difference on fan noise and performance which is great. One day when I am confident I will fiddle with making my own power profile which is an awesome option that I see is included in your control centre. All in all I am really happy with the product and the service. I have had an issue today updating my nvidia drivers which gave me a black screen which resulted in me having to force shut down the machine but that is not a train smash and if it happens again I know I can always contact you guys for some awesome help! Truly awesome to deal with some local people and support local business instead of some international brand which would never get back to my email. Thank you so much for the awesome product and the awesome buying experience. 10/10 !!!
