Logitech 920-009008 G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB Low-Profile GL Linear Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

This has got to be the best keyboard I've ever used! I opted for the linear model because I wanted quiet typing, and as I hoped for the keys are incredibly soft with just the right amount of feedback to make it satisfying. The design of the keyboard is incredible, this is one of the best looking keyboards I can imagine! Even if you're not into gaming like me, this is an incredibly eye-catching work keyboard as well that is slim and perfectly sized. There's only one thing that takes getting used to, which is the G keys on the left side in the positions that you usually expect your tab, CAPS, shift and CTRL keys to be, however this is minor and you get used to it fairly quickly. The RBG lighting is just perfectly executed as well and can be customised easily with the G HUB software. I couldn't be happier after buying this keyboard, and unless you like bulky boards with arm rests and hyper stylisation, this is a keyboard that I would definitely recommend you don't sleep on.

This keyboard is a pleasure to use and I'm satified to have bought it. HOWEVER, there are several things that need to be considered:

(a) The G-keys on the Left edge. After more than 40 years of keyboard usage, muscle memory dictates that the Left-CTRL (etc) key /s are located at the bottom left edge of the keyboard. I use the left-Ctrl and left-Shift keys at lot. The fact that this space is now occupied by the G-keys has posed a huge problem for me.

(b) The G-keys come pre-programmed, which means the Logitech G-Hub software has to be installed in order to disable these keys to avoid unexpected events should your muscle memory be as ingrained as mine. They can, of course, be programmed to just about anything you want using the G-Hub software, and I can see that this will be very useful when Gaming.

(c) For some incomprehensible reason, Logitech chose not to have all the Shifted key-state keys illuminated. These are the numeric keys across the top of the keyboard (below the Function keys) for example. The Numbers are illuminated but not the shifted states. The keyboard has a Numeric Keypad with illuminated numbers, so it makes more sense to me to illuminate the less common symbols on the top row (for example) than the numbers.

Overall, I like this keyboard and it's options.... but, as of now, I will only be using it for Gaming and not for daily work/tasks. A pity, because it really has a great "feel" to it.

I've only had this keyboard for about 2 weeks but it's honestly been amazing! The low form factor makes typing comfortable. The keystrokes of the linear version is super satisfying & not obnoxiously loud. I would 100% recommend this keyboard to everyone. Giving it 4 stars as it's still a relatively new purchase but it's practically a 5 star.
