I have four AM4 CPU's in my possession, only one of my Ryzen's work with this board. RAM cannot be clocked above 2400Mhz without constant crashes. Never had so many problems with a motherboard.

If that is the question then intel isn't part of the conversation anymore.
But 2021 sure is and so is the pc building craze,lack of stock,price gouging and random tiktok videos that are upon us, due to so many things ,I would have to write a book to list them all.

I struggled with the question regarding B450 or B550.
It finally boiled down to what is its intended purpose vs future upgrade path vs potential future part pricing changes vs availability etc etc.
And when I got that sorted.
I knew what B450 mobo I wanted for the job.
Having owned the B450 Gaming Plus max,for me it was a no brainer that I go Tomahawk.
And I am well pleased.
Easy to install on,decent vrm's.
Cant really say anything more that hasnt been said allready.
I do feel the gaming plus max just looks beter.
And i never missed not having a usb c port..

If you are new to pc building then buy this board. It rocks. I have never built a pc and it was a great 1st experience due to this board. If you have money get the X570, but if not you can never go wrong. Its as futureproof as you can get and the price is a steal compared to other suppliers.

Nice Bios, looks nice and clean, minimal RGB that you can turn off. Runs 3600 ram in one click and worked with AMD 3600 out the box. It would freeze when I tried to update the bios so I haven't updated it and everything runs as expected, doesn't appear to be a very common issue at all though. Very happy with it and the price!

Are you looking for the best B Series motherboard? I did my research and this is the one.. Best VRM cooling in it's class for overclocking etc. Very good buy!

If you are looking for a motherboard with b450 socket, this is the way to go. Great design with all the connectors I needed. I'm also a fan of the MSI bios, so this mobo was perfect

Paired it with a 3700x and 3600MHz RAM. Benchmarks look great with stock cooler and no overclocking besides the RAM. Been using it a few days now and it runs like a dream.

At a reasonable price (R2.5k), this is the best B450 motherboard on the market.
With all necessary expansion options, solid VRM cooling and stable XMP at 3600Mhz, this is an excellent choice.
I've paired this with a Ryzen 3600 and have no complaints.
It has a few RGB headers for generic 5050 leg strips as well, so you can spruce up your build affordably. Also has a small array of LEDs on the right hand side of the board.

If you want a budget option that does away with all the frills and has a beefy VRM ready to even run a 3950x, then this is the board to pick up. Its a no brainer if you're looking to build a new system but you don't want to run up a bill on unnecessary costs.

Bought this and paired it with a Ryzen 5 3600 and G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x 8GB) 3200 MHz RAM.

The board came with the latest BIOS when I purchased it and works perfectly. The XMP profile applied and was 100% stable first try. The board POSTs decently fast (less than 5 seconds for me) and the UEFI firmware is relatively easy to navigate.

The board has some of the best heatsink and cooling arrangement for most B450 boards and has some pretty VRMs which can handle a lot of the higher-end Ryzen CPUs without breaking a sweat. The board has plenty of very well positioned fan headers (something that a lot of other manufacturers don't get right) and feels well constructed.

Overall, great board. It is believed to currently be the best choice for B450 motherboard on the market. It works great. If you are wondering which B450 board to get, go for this one.

Great build quality, heatsinks everywhere you need them. Backplate for your CPU cooler is an awesome addition. Works with 3rd Gen Ryzen OOTB as expected. The VRM heatsink can get in the way of your CPU cooler configuration, but thats pretty minor. Includes m.2 screw. Case headers for USB, sound, etc all well labelled.
