- Monster - Jacques, 22 January 2024
This is an absolute Beast of a card. Best GPU I have ever bought and I had a view over the years. Super impressed with Zotac build quality and performance. It is an very expensive card... but worth it if you can afford it!
- Ultimate Nvidia GPU - Zaeem, 28 December 2022
This card is fast, blazing fast and blazing doesn't imply high temps, it's got lower temps than my 3080. 65 degree is the highest temp I have recorded running gpu at 100% while my 3080 would hit 75 degrees.
Now the performance compared to 3080 is mind blowing, I used to get 106 fps in benchmark with badass setting in borderlands 3 at 1440p and now with the same setting I'm getting 192fps, no dlss, no rtx, just pure rasterization.
My 3080 used to struggle while playing dying light 2 at ultra with dlss quality, usually the fps would hover around 60 but it would often hit mid 50s during gameplay. Now with 4090 I'm getting 120+ with dlss quality, no dlss 3 update for this game yet. Darktide with ultra would give me 30 to 35 fps with 3080 and now it's 160 to 190fps with 4090 using dlss 3.
So far I haven't noticed a single instance of input lag using dlss 3 but that's just me, maybe we got some obscure homosuperiors and they can notice input lag with dlss 3 but I guess I'm not one of them.
In my opinion if you got 3080 than 4080 isn't a decent upgrade, it's 4090 or wait for 5000 series.
- It's Fast - JM, 31 October 2022
Nothing much I can that hasnt been covered in reviews. This card is fast. Mine hasnt melted yet but waiting on the result of the entire 12VHPWR cable thing. My 1000W Strix PSU only came with 3 8pin x 2 cables and while they recommend using individual rails mine is using all 3 cables with 1 sharing.
I undervolted mine with the 950mV and 2760mhz setting and while there is a small fps sacrifice the overall power consumption is down. In some cases the power draw is even less than the 3080.
Even though a lot of reviews mentioned twice the performance of a 3090ti I have had rare cases where the card is twice as fast as my old 3080. Cyberpunk does not have frame generation as of yet so I dont have any feedback on how it feels or looks.
My 1 actual complaint is the support bracket is rather small and doesnt fit anywhere where it could be of use. I recommend you measure your case before buying.
