Firstly - first-time Wootware customer; decided to give them ago after positive feedback from friends and colleagues.

EXCELLENT service from Craig, Sales and the Support teams at Wootware - they have been very accommodating, patient and all-round awesome. For a minimal fee, the team assisted me deftly with my upgrade requests to ensure that my monster would be fit for my purposes.

The Gigabyte A7X1 on its own is a BEAST of note - running new releases at the top end settings with minimum effort. I upgraded mine to 32GB RAM and added another 1TB SSD to ensure that I am spoilt for choice for games on-hand (thanks again for the upgrade assistance Craig!) - it's been 11 years since I built a gaming PC and this laptop is a thing of dreams; I'm in love all over with PC gaming again. I highly suggest that everyone checks out the Wootdini review on this page to understand the demon that lurks within this Plain Jane ;p . When you boot up Cyberpunk2077 and the settings default to Ultra, you know you are in for a good time :D

The stand-alone audio is decent, but I would advise headphones a speaker set up be used to get the best out of your gaming experience (something normally done I assume with gaming laptops, as the fans do get loud with more intensive apps and games). I am also not used to a keyboard with a NumPad alongside, so I am also getting used to typing on it as well (I'm sure I'll get used to it though sooner than later). I also highly suggest getting a laptop cooling stand, as this will (to some extent and depending on the stand) help with cooling for intensive gaming and provide elevated palm and wrist support, especially when I find that the laptop edge below the mousepad can dig into your hands for long usage sessions on a flat surface.

TL:DR the A7X1 is an unapologetic beast of hardware and it is amazing value at ZAR33k . Thank you Wootware for your excellent service!

I ordered the upgraded RAM with my laptop. I was shocked to find that the laptop arrived without the RAM installed. This is an expensive product and I expect better consideration and service from Wootware.
