- Great screen and great price - Hendrik, 9 December 2025
Coming from 1080p at 75Hz, this is a massive upgrade and exceeded my expectations, even with the glowing reviews. The colours are great and the smoothness of 165Hz is amazing. It has totally ruined any lower resolutions and refresh rates for me.
- not good - Emil, 14 November 2025
I have a laptop that has HDMI 2.1 the screen says it has HDMI 2,1 and the cable i have is HDMI 2,1 yet it wont give me max refresh rate , i don't have a display port on my laptop nor am i willing to sacrifice my only type c port for it
- Great value for money - Tinus Willem, 1 November 2025
Awesome monitor, we use them for accounting and office work. Cant beat it for screen real estate per rand. Only drawback is when monitor does not receive a signal your not able to get into the menu. Otherwise this is perfect if you don't need to view HDR content.
- Really great value - Jim, 17 October 2025
This is a solid option at a very good price point. Very happy with the purchase. I have not done a lot of gaming on it as yet, but working in software engineering, the layout and real estate on the monitor is amazing.
I can agree with the one review on the flashbang white start up screen, though, it's like 4 espressos - I just don't turn it off now - the rest, though, I'm very happy with the build quality and the screen quality. - Great monitor, awsome price - Finalis, 15 October 2025
I have only one problem with this monitor: the white start up, basically flashbang,
So to start this monitor is great over all, but with any budget item there is always a problem or two
The Good
1. Color on this screen is great, contrast is also good
2. build quality is also Good, over all quite solid
3. refresh rate is just wow, i have a 27inch 100hz monitor and this is a huge upgrade
The Bad
1. White start up screen
2. Stand is a bit wonky, but okay if your desk does not have chicken legs, use an monitor arm, cuz they are the best, and cuz of the stand
3. The button you use to control the settings is well weird, the way they have you get i the menu is okay but not good
4 stars cuz of start up screen and controls, if that is fixed this monitor is better than any monitor under 10k (that is if the monitor is ultrawide) - One of the best - Cyril, 10 October 2025
I've been using it for 5 months now without any issues and the quality is excellent.
The only issue I had was it turning black when HDR was active, that issue was solved when I bought a new high quality DP cable. - Top Class! - Djordje, 8 October 2025
Really happy with the purchase would recommend to anymone! Even has a good special when I got it. Colours and anti glare screen amazing. Even has built in speakers if you don’t have sound to start off!
- Surprisingly good - Bokang, 30 September 2025
It's pretty good. Of course, even a brick is an upgrade from a 10+ years old 21.5" monitor. Ultra wide is not best for gaming, tons of games don't support it and when it's supported, it is almost as demanding as 4k (you might need to upgrade your GPU).
It's AMAZING for productivity, split screen and immersion in the games that support it.
In normal use that didn't notice much smearing, tearing or ghosting - it's visible in display tests. HDR is below par. Colours are good. - Great screen. - Dylan, 25 August 2025
Screen in unbeatable value for money. Great to work on, and even better to game on.
The 1800R curve is not much but is perfect for ultrawide monitors (in my opinion). Only issue to note is that the screen does not get that bright and it may struggle in a bright office.
Otherwise the refresh rate, screen size and pixel and colour density are all great for my use cases. Can definitely recommend this monitor.
- Great Value - Bathabilem, 12 August 2025
Coming from a 27" 1440p display , the upgrade is definitely worth it for the price you pay. The other technical reviews are spot on about the monitor , the only thing I'd add is that the HDR implementation isn't the greatest - which is fine as the monitor is not HDR certified. Outside of that the only issue I have is the auto-source switching when any one of the source devices sleep. But all in all a great ultrawide monitor for the price you can get it at.
- Words Cant Explain - Selvino, 9 August 2025
Words cant explain how Great this screen is!! Thanks Wootware!
The price and item are both magnificent!!
Much Appreciated!! - Customer service - Ameer, 8 August 2025
Was pleasantly surprised at how eager the staff were to assist me with any questions I would have had during and for setting up my monitor. It was a breeze and I am enjoying the monitor. Very good value for money.
- Great Screen, Great Price - Khanya , 4 August 2025
The deliver took 2-3 days, which was unexpectedly quick. The screen is as advertised. Got it to duplicate screen with my laptop on the first try. I must have pressed something wrong because I cannot duplicate it now (Will call Wootware to assist, P.S I am not tech savvy at all).
Either way would recommend this computer to anyone who needs a large format adjustable screen. I use it for design and technical work, architect. And I will likely get one more soon. - So far so good. - STC, 28 July 2025
Less than a month of using the 34". Quite happy with it...
- Amazing value - SJ, 22 July 2025
Let's get the cons out of the way first: build quality leaves a lot to be desired (though not terrible). Has a white boot-up screen (x.x). Front wootware logo screams cheap (I sprayed over it).
With that out of the way, after messing with the Nvidia colour settings, the display looks amazing! High resolution fidelity, vivid colours, high refresh rate & good VRR make this monitor unbeatable for the price.
If you have tempted for one, get one - Awesome - Dewald, 17 July 2025
This is an unbeatable product at this price. I am extremely happy with it. You don't realize it's a VA panel. No ghosting and colors are still very nice especially at night. Overall great and I am going to get another one.
- Would buy another 2 if the wife let's me... - Brendan, 14 July 2025
Wow, just wow, was a bit sceptical on buying a "sort of no name" brand screen. But totally worth it. Coming from a 75Hz LG ultra wide to this is obviously a day and night difference, colour quality is crisp, response rate faster than my replies to the wife, and better adjustability than the seat in my bakkie.
For one of the cheapest high refresh and response rate ultra wide monitors on the market I am highly impressed! If you're still buying Samsung monitors at the price point of someone's salary, then you're doing something wrong. Get you one, or two, or three of these, you won't be disappointed! I can finally play solitaire at 4K and 165Hz!
10/10, would buy again! - Good, mostly - Gordon, 20 June 2025
I've been using this monitor for about a month now, and I am well pleased with it.
It must be said though, that I am a casual gamer, so almost any decent monitor does it for me.
The monitor looks good, and sits nice and steady on it's stand, has good brightness, an makes gaming a bit more immersive for me.
One small issue I have, a single dead/non responsive pixel, a little up from, and right of the center of the screen.
It's a solid reddish/brown color.
I noticed it on day 1, but decided to sit with it, and it's easy to overlook it, for the most part, if you're looking at a dark scene though, and it catches your eye, it's hard to stop noticing it.
Overall, I'm sure most people will be quite happy with it, especially at the price.
Only giving 3 stars because of the pixel issue, otherwise I'd rate it as a 4. - Value for money - Pieter, 18 June 2025
Was sceptic about buying an "unbranded" screen. Came to the reviews for user experience, not disappointed. Previously had a Acer 165hz 23". Screen performs well, no issues at with high fps and the color is good. Screen is not HDR certified, but HDR content looks good. Nice touch with cable management on the stand. Stand is ok, better than most reviews read.
Red ring on the back and printed text look a bit cheap but overall impression is still good.
Now I want a new GPU. - Happy with everything - Morgan, 16 June 2025
Absolutely love this monitor! Crystal-clear display, smooth refresh rate, and zero lag. Perfect for gaming and everyday use. Easy to assemble and set up. Best gift ever from the best girlfriend!
- Ten out of ten - Pops, 30 May 2025
Just great friendly service and a great product.
I give this monitor and Wootware top stars.
Thank you for the painless and amazing service. - Brilliant purchase on a budget - Haroon, 23 May 2025
Nothing beats this level of quality at this price point. 1440p, 34 inch and 165hz at such a low price? I am yet to see a better value for money.
The gaming experience coming from someone who has a 1080p, 60hz display for so long, is incredible.
Thanks Wootware. You listen to the consumer and it shows. - Excellent - Thabiso, 16 May 2025
No fancy words, views or opinions. I love it. I'm coming from a 27 Inch alienware 240Hz screen and the fact that with this I have higher resolution, 165Hz and HDR for this price (R5250 in May 2025). Epic. Wootware cooked with this monitor! an easy 10/10 reccomendation.
- WootVision UWQHD Monitor Solid Purchase - Junaid, 9 May 2025
If you're after an ultra-wide monitor for work or play, this is a solid option. It’s affordable, looks great, and provides solid performance. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking to step up their screen game without spending a fortune!
- Amazing Buy for the Price Point - Olivier, 5 May 2025
I am absolutely over the moon with this monitor, I was really scared that at its price I would end up getting a cheap looking panel, but the actual image quality is really amazing, I do recommend getting it a screen mount right away for the best experience
- Dont buy 1, buy 2 - Zac, 2 May 2025
Great response rate, very smooth
Very good res on 4k settings
All games work with the wide screen
Amazing colours, i am partially colour blind and this is better than my OLED samsung tv
Great product, very good for sensitive eyesight as well.
- Best of Both Worlds - Kobus, 24 April 2025
Cost Vs Use, doesnt matter, productivity increased, ease of use and split screens! Gaming is different for FPS, but the screen handles it like a champ! Worth a buy!
- Its a gem! - Imtiaz, 22 April 2025
As always WW delivered, small delay with the order but communication was there to keep me at ease.
If you’re considering this VA panel and feel hesitant — don’t be. It’s a solid, well-performing choice at an unbeatable price in South Africa. Go for it! Highly recommended.
- Best value for money! - Marthinus, 21 April 2025
Definitely a fantastic monitor for the price. Used an external KVM switch to finish off the USB connectivity. Maybe pay attention to the curvature, it can be a little lacking for this screen width, but just depends on the distance.
- Good Product - Willie, 17 April 2025
Picked up this monitor from Wootware about 10 days ago. This is my view from a gaming use case scenario.
Good quality packaging and should not damage during transporting. All items available in the box as per the parts list.
The stand puts together easily and has a very sturdy construction.
Adjustments on the screen included height adjustment, tilt (up and down) and swing (left and right) and it is very easy to position it just how you want it. Monitor can also be mounted on a swing arm if you want.
Setup and adjustment is easy with some of the automatic functions (color specifically) adjusting it to what you would expect.
Contrast between black and white is great and what you would expect from a VA panel. Sadly the same can be said for color, even though the colors are vibrant and rich for a VA panel they are not to be compared to an IPS panel. This is not a shortcoming of the unit but rather the technology.
Gaming is a treat with the large display and the crisp detail of 1440P. With the refresh rate set up to match your requirements the response is very good and you can even enjoy some fast paced gaming. It might be a tad large for FPS games but that is personal preference.
All and all a very good product and at the price this should be on everyone's radar. - You Get What You Pay for - Reece, 14 April 2025
The monitor overall is not bad. Its great if you're someone who values having extra screen real estate for productivity first and then prioritizes gaming second. Build quality is inherently Chinese with a Wootware logo pasted on it.
Pros:
° The price
° Good colour spectrum
° Ultra wide 1440p @165Hz is just amazing. I cannot go back to using two monitors
° No obvious ghosting. Have played a few comp games, and the experience is great
° On a monitor arm, its perfect for productivity work and clearing clutter on your desk
° The stand is easily setup
Cons:
° WHO AT WOOTWARE DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO PUT A BRIGHT WHITE WOOTWARE LOGO AS THE STARTUP SCREEN FOR THE MONITOR??? I AM CONSTANTLY FLASHBANGED WHEN STARTING UP THE MONITOR
° The Wootware logo pasted on the front bottom lip is not super appealing. I have covered it with some black electrical tape.
° The included stand is not super sturdy
° Build quality can feel a bit cheap and creaky
° Not super bright - would not recommend use in a bright office environment
° No nice to have features like side-by-side device screening
° Strange faint dark vignette appears at certain viewing angles - I believe this is from the VA panel used
° Slight flickering of contrast areas when playing certain games - this comes and goes - activating G-sync makes it worse (?)
° Sometimes when switching between DPI and HDMI, the panel just doesn't respond at all and goes into sleep mode (?)
° The cutout for the inputs at the rear of the panel is very small, causing your display cables to have a very short bending radius behind the monitor.. - So far, so good - Tawanda, 14 April 2025
I’ve been using the WootVision 34W V165 for a little while now, and honestly, so far, so good! The 34" ultrawide screen is immersive, especially with the 1800R curve. It really pulls you into the action whether you're gaming or multitasking.
The 3440x1440 UWQHD resolution delivers sharp visuals, and paired with the 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT, everything feels smooth and responsive, no noticeable ghosting or tearing, especially with FreeSync enabled.
The VA panel gives decent color and contrast, and for the price point, it’s a solid performer. I haven’t had any issues with build quality or dead pixels. Setup was easy and the design looks clean on my desk.
If you're looking for a budget-friendly ultrawide for gaming or productivity, this is shaping up to be a great pick. I’ll update if anything changes, but as of now, I’m impressed! - WOW! - Waseem, 7 April 2025
This is what happens when people who care about what the consumer needs, build something. Insane quality, ridiculously affordable price and just a good-looking product. Nicely done! Couldn't recommend this more.
