- Great, but expensive - Bruce, 25 August 2025
I have waited a long time for a monitor to check all the boxes.
* 4K at 27 inches (High pixel density)
* High refresh rate
* Infinite contrast ration
* Accurate colours
* No DSC (DP 2.1)
But it is not perfect. Yes, the subpixel layout does mean there is minor fringing around text. But, given the pixel density it is far sharper than a 1440p monitor at this size and definitely better than anything at 32 inches.
Someone mentioned the monitor changing brightness levels. That is a setting you can turn off. You can either have dynamic brightness boost on to get higher highs, but in a small window. A full white image will go dimmer. However, turning it off will maintain a more sustained brightness across the entire screen. It matches the DisplayHDR 400 specs and is far better than any IPS monitor you can buy locally. Enough for a decently lit room, and still plenty for a darker room. It is only beat by mini LED displays which don't really exist outside of macs and TVs.
Bezels appear a bit large to cater for the pixel shifting. So the screen is actually 26.5 inches of usable space. The other .5 is to allow for the screen to shift around over time to prevent burnin. You still get your full 3840x2160, it is just a 26.5 inch screen moving around a 27 inch panel that is actually higher resolution. At first I thought my panel was off centre until I realised what was happening.
Really happy with it and can never go back. OLED has spoiled me. - Mixed bag - Jonathan, 10 June 2025
I got it in a moment of weakness when my 9 year old 4k 60Hz IPS finally started showing blurry pixels.
Good: Perfect blacks, high refresh rate.
Bad: Still some minor fringing around text. Zooming in and out of images, or switching between emails, there's noticeable change in monitor brightness. I wasn't impressed by the HDR: most games don't support it, and "auto HDR" in my opinion doesn't look good. Even though there are a bunch of things built into alleviate burn-in, it just makes me think that OLED is fundamentally not built to last.
The problems are inherent in all OLED monitors, but I was hoping that after a couple of generations things would have improved. It's good for games and movies, but worse than an IPS monitor for general use, and at more than 2.5x the price of a good IPS monitor. I don't hate it and probably won't return/sell it, but if I could go back I'd rather get something more reasonably priced. - Excellent - MJ, 5 March 2025
This monitor is absolutely the best I ever had. Top quality to display and overall design.
