So I got this psu at a steal from wootware with psu prices the way they are and it works perfectly . I would not write a psu review if it was not for these things I noticed while installing. I upgraded from a hx750i to this, the hx750i comes with very very compact well made cables. The hx1200 comes with bulky very very hard to bend cables and the pcie cables don't even come with the 6 + 2 pin attached to each other. The hx750i pcie cord comes with a clip even so they rock solid together . So on one of the pcie cable on the hx1200 the 6 and the 2 pin did not even line up . It lined up so badly the 2 pin pulled out of my graphics card and lead to black screens. This would all be fine and I would normally think the cords just need a bit of work to stay in like all my other power supplies I have bought but coming from the hx750i , all my mind can think is these come from the same factory and they can't even put nice cords in when you hit 1200w . Like it honestly just feels a bit rude . Even the cpu cord has to be put in with 2 heavy 90° degree angles that are very far apart cause of the huge tape they use below the connector. Compact cords should just be a standard at this wattage . I'm not swapping cords cause I hear you don't do that . This power supply is perfect but coming from the same brand and not having certain things cause of a "i" actually annoys me especially when it's a higher end part. With psu prices the way the are you gonna be spending 4000 rand and up for the "i" just for compact cables and a sensor ... thanks corsair
