Seagate ST4000VN006 Ironwolf 4TB 5400RPM 256MB Cache 3.5" Internal NAS Hard Drive

Work from the word go after setting up. Solid back up drive after my WD (Western Digital) drives failed one by one. I have always been a Seagate fan because of its durability. Because I wanted to use it as my main back-up drive and did not want to install the HDD internally on my PC and opted for a Maiwo DS-1B-SATA-USB3-M K308 2.5" & 3.5" Single-Bay Docking Station. The combination work without problems. Very happy with my purchase.

They went out of their way to help me. The order arrived as scheduled. The hard disk easily connected, and now it's up and running doing harddrivey-stuff. I feel better now that my backups is actually happening.

It is a hard drive and it works, not too loud and is working quite nicely in my truenas machine. Only time will tell how they stack up.

I can't really speak to reliability, as I have not had it nearly long enough. But so far so good, it's a decent amount of storage at a great price considering it is intended for NAS and uses CMR recording, and should be more robust than similarly priced HDDs on the market.

Ordered this for my new Synology NAS, was instantly picked up and formatted correctly, Synology reported no compatibility issues (this drive is on the Compatibility List) and has been working flawlessly ever since. Speed is what you would expect from a spinning drive, but not bad either.
