Thrown in a Resulume playback machine. No issues playing multiple 4k clips at once. Guaranteed speed and reliability.

I'm amazed by the speeds, and getting the advertised speed when placed into the NVME_1_1 slot which is fed by the CPU.

The drive does run very hot however, and can throttle without a heatsink.
I had a heatsink ready, so decided to save money by not buying the heatsink version.

The advertised speeds are contingent on the drive not overheating or throttling.
5 Stars because I understood this, and already had cooling ready and the price was good.

I did a lot of research around PCIE 4.0 drives, wanted to buy the Teamgroup 4TB but my gut had me buy the Samsung again, It's running as fast as advertised on Crystalmark 8.0.5 (Reading@ 7459.25MB/s and Writing@ 6953.23MB/s)

It makes my Samsung 980 PRO 256GB (boot drive) and my WD Black SN850 1TB look really slow (both also PCIE 4.0), its a pity Samsung don't have a 256GB 990 PRO, I would have replaced the 980 PRO ASAP

PC copied a 22GB file from the WB Black SN850 to the Samsung 990 PRO in 5 seconds!!

Incredibly fast SSD for both booting into Windows 11 and all applications run on this SSD.
I also find Samsung 990 Pro series runs cooler than some of the other brands I've used.

Over all impressed and will likely order another one for secondary storage.

I'll admit Samsung isn't my first choice when it comes to, well, anything, but in choosing to use this drive as my OS and App drive I've finally found something that performs faster than I do. When used as a primary boot drive the 990 Pro really outdoes itself when it comes to speed and stability. I've yet to encounter ANY long waits for any reason on this. When used on the ASRock B650E Taichi I'm able to boot into Windows and immediately start working within a period of about 30 seconds at most.

This is the second 990 Pro I've bought in the last year, and both of them are running smoothly without any issues. Very happy with the speed and quality of the product.

So I bought this drive after doing a fair amount of research into it. It's great, very fast etc but I so far haven't been able to get it to it's promised speed of 7,450MB/s, I have tried it in both a PCIE 4.0 and PCIE 5.0 slot, I get 6900 - 7000MB/s. I tried Samsung magician and set it to max performance and still no difference. But overall it is allot faster than the 960 Pro I was using prior so it is a nice upgrade.

Had the drive for only a short while now, but very happy with the performance so far. It is costly, but you get what you pay for. Wootware's service was also impeccable, as per usual.
