- Great! - Marcel, 3 February 2025
Great product and great service, as always, from Wootware. In a country where garbage service is unfortunately the norm, Wootware is the light in the darkness. Thank you.
- Great Quality Monitor - Kyle, 27 January 2025
Solid choice in monitor, there are great reviews for a good reason.
High quality Stand, Display is sharp and colours are excellent. - DELL Monitor - Carl, 15 January 2025
Incredibly impressed with the service and the quality of the product. The monitor has exceptional colour, contrast, and brightness. If you are looking for a primary or secondary monitor you cannot go wrong with this one.
- Fantastic Monitor. - Odwa, 18 November 2024
Coming from a much older 1080p monitor setup, this is a huge step in the right direction for my needs. Nothing has been tweaked from out of the box (just yet) and all is looking great. Definitely a worthwhile uprgade/purchase.
- Top Tier “Budget” 1440p Monitor - Luca K, 17 August 2024
This is definitely not in the range of a budget monitor but in terms of high quality 1440p monitors the price is reasonable for the features you get compared to other more premium 1440p monitors.
All round great looking monitor, from the design to the colour accuracy. The anti glare IPS is the best I have ever experienced and works perfect even in a room with lots of natural light. The only downfall I would say is the slightly dissapointing HDR experience but for me personally I dont mind, the colours still look great.
All round a very solid monitor and couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. I could not recommend it more for anyone looking at a entry level premium 1440p experience.
- Simply brilliant - Jarryd, 19 March 2024
The jump to 1440p 27" is amazing.
Had to RMA my first unit due to a dead pixel, however this second unit is great.
By default the monitor has a slightly greenish tint that I noticed several other users reported elsewhere - quickly fixed by creating a custom colour setting within the monitor's settings.
I have set mine to:
Gain - R95%, G91%, B96%
Offset - R54%, G54%, B58%
Great monitor, great price.
Oh and Wootware were swift and helpful as per usual - thanks team. - It's great - Erika, 26 February 2024
Takes a bit getting used to the difference in resolution of a 27" 1080p to a 27" 1440p, there's so much more space on the screen now, I love it. The colour threw me off a bit when I first turned it on, but nothing a bit of tweaking in the settings can't fix, and setting it to "Cool" for me. In game though, colours are amazing, nothing weird there. And the blacks are black, that's pretty much what I looked at.
It was a bit tricky to get it on my VESA arm, because the backside sticks out too far, making it hard/impossible to slide the mount onto the arm. We had to 2-man it and screw the monitor to the mount while it was already on the arm, so be aware of that.
In conclusion, very happy with my purchase. Just be prepared to play around with some settings and put in some more effort into VESA mounting. - Smooooth - Philip, 19 February 2024
Great upgrade from my 1080p monitor. The high refresh rate is totally worth it as everything you do feels buttery smooth.
While the HDR is on the low end, if set up correctly can still look pretty good in certain supported games. It is definitely not the main feature of this monitor.
sRGB mode is pretty accurate compared to my Viewsonic and any slight colour tints can be fixed with calibration.
Overall a very good monitor for the price. - Best 1440p 165Hz monitor for the price - Nicholas, 4 January 2024
Really happy with this monitor so far. I hope they stay in stock long enough to buy another one in a few months.
It does exactly what it says on the tin, great colour reproduction and brightness. I leave it on the default 75% setting and even then it's almost too bright.
Response times are good, and everything works as expected. If I had to nit pick, I'd say HDR is completely useless, though it's to be expected on these lower end monitors. SDR looks great, but HDR is a complete mess as with basically any monitor like it, it only has 4 vertical dimming zones, so it's pointless, so don't expect to use it. That said, you want to enable HDR on the monitor (I set it to Display 400), but disable it in Windows. Reason being is because having it enabled allows windows to read more information about the monitor. Effectively HDR will be completely disabled, but SDR content will look correct. If it's disabled, you may get weird artifacts like gray blacks, and an odd horizontal banding thing that makes it look like interlacing. But enabled it works fine.
I have an AMD GPU, so I use Freesync, and again, if you don't enable Freesync as well, the colours sometimes don't always look right, not sure what the deal is, but otherwise Freesync works amazingly as long as the game is under 165fps, over that and freesync is pretty pointless. Though if you care about microstuttering, you shouldn't run your games at anything more than ~80% of it's max anyway and you should almost always lock your framerate anyway.
Lastly, it says it uses 10bit colour, and you can set it to that in the driver, but if you view a 10 bit colour image, it doesn't look any different, so I suspect it simply supports 10bit colour as an input, but doesn't actually use it. It does support full RGB @ max refresh and resolution, you just need to make sure you set it in your driver as it doesn't always use it by default.
Overall, totally worth the price, I don't think you'll find a better name brand monitor in SA for a similar price. It's basically only lacking HDR, but getting good HDR usually only starts at double the price. - Awesome Upgrade. Great Service! - Riash, 7 December 2023
Upgraded from 1080p and thoroughly enjoying then 1440p experience.
Great service from Wootware who escalated my delivery when I was notified that there was a delay from the courier. Thanks Craig Scholtz for the incredible customer service. - A solid screen - Dane, 22 November 2023
I've been enjoying this screen so far. It's been great for gaming and I love the picture. It's a good size that isn't obnoxiously large, but still big enough to make my gaming experience feel immersive. Love the colour and the motion handling, as well as the stand which can be raised pretty high, tilted to good angles, and swivelled if necessary. I also appreciate that I got a cable for my Macbook. Using it as a second screen is great, though I think the settings need some tweaking and I haven't figured that part out yet. For example, the cells on Google sheets are very faint. I'm sure I can tweak a setting though. Overall, I think I made a great choice. Wootware also sent it out speedily which was great too.
- I need another one..... - Charl, 9 October 2023
I had two monitors (1080p 60Hz) and replaced one with this Dell. Very happy with the higher resolution. I can notice the increased frequency too. but now want a second one. Good quality and I love that the screen's build quality.
