Dell S3422DWG 34" UWQHD (3440x1440) 144Hz 2ms VA AMD FreeSync Premium Pro VESA Display HDR 400 1800R Curved Gaming Desktop Monitor

I was using a 27" Dell 1920x1080 monitor before and what an upgrade! The additional real estate is great and the PPI is way better. I was a little apprehensive going from an IPS to a VA panel, but this VA is top notch - the colours and contrast is great! Just make sure to change the Response Time from Fast to Super Fast for best results.

The only thing i would like to change about the monitor is for it to have speakers built in like LG, other than that i could not ask for better.

I had a 27" Dell FHD display hooked up to a RTX4060 and was hitting 50-60 FPS on a Ryzen 5 2600X at Ultra settings with DLSS in most games. Then I got this monitor and suddenly I'm clocking 70-90 FPS in most games at Ultra settings with HDR and the works. Guess I was somehow somewhere bottlenecked at FHD. Weird but great! :)

This is by far the best "bang for your buck" monitor I could find. With some fine tuning on the settings it looks amazing. Wonderful for gaming and work.

Received in good order and on time. Very happy with the monitor in terms of price versus quality. It is worth getting the latest drivers and calibration tweaks to really make this one pop. The VA panel provides good contrast and luminosity. Widescreen is the way to go.

Coming from a 32 inch tv i had no idea how badly i was treating my system before i got this Monitor. My gpu loves me my cpu loves me, Eskom also loves me now due to using all the power of my rig.

Its fantastic and worth every penny.

I was hesitant about buying a VA monitor after years on IPS, but once you tweak the settings, ghosting becomes a non-issue. The panel is sufficiently bright (could be brighter), the refresh rate is much higher than most people would ever need and the resolution, while not "retina" level, is sufficient for most workloads. Having the extra width helps a lot with both work and gaming. Horizon: Forbidden West is a real treat on a display like this!

This monitor has really changed the way I work, instead of 2 monitors to swing your head to, this monitor is easily wide enough to display 2 windows side by side without compromising the viewable area. Definitely recommend.

I've been enjoying this monitor I feel is a great buy. Surprisingly its not as large as expected (could be a good thing or bad). The display does feel a bit washed out thought that could just be my lack of tuning knowledge, I don't know so I'm not reviewing it on that. The screen real estate for games supporting ultra wide screen resolution is fantastic though the curved will take some getting used to if you haven't used one before.

I purchased this screen recently and am very happy with the purchase. It is great for multitasking and the colours are also good. In certain online reviews they claim the viewing angles aren't great, but I don't have a problem with that.

It is a big step up from my 24 inch 1080p monitor especially for productivity work and for sim racing having the extra width helps with first person visibility a lot. The only issue that I have run into is that freesync causes flickering when the monitor is set to super fast (setting to super fast reduces ghosting compared to the fast setting), but other then that this monitor has been great and the team at Wootware did a great job helping me sort out the return of the first monitor that arrived dead.

I decided to get this monitor to connect to my laptop. I find it difficult to work within the constraints of a laptop single monitor environment.

Screen is large. I'm able to split up most of my work on just the one monitor. This helps to keep me focused in just one place. Its a good buy.

Super happy with that purchase. Colour out of the box are fully but some adjustments make all the difference.

Great quality, screen is amazing, price is decent.

And of course, Wootware being their awesome self. No other place I would even consider buying

Sure there are larger IPS monitors out there with 1ms response times and higher refresh rates, but this to me is great value for money, especially if you are replacing a much older monitor.

Things to note that may not be obvious at first:

- The screen can adjust up and down and tilt, but not swivel.
- As always, make sure your computer and its graphics chip can support the native UWQHD resolution.
- Note that if your computer does not support Display Port 1.4, you will not get full refresh rate with normal HDMI 2.
If you want to replace 2 wide screens, consider the total resolution you want to replace with this as it may very well be more than 3440x1440.

I had an old 27" HD monitor for years. This thing is a massive improvement. I've tested out a few curved monitors over the last few months and this one is easily the best at this price point. I'd say my only gripe is the power draw. It's not exactly energy efficient. But I suppose that comes with the territory.

Wootware was also great. Communication was tops and it even arrived a day earlier than expected.

This monitor is best value at this tier. It is a more rounded and polished product overall than its VA panel competitors at this price range in my opinion. The HDR is brilliant for this price range as well. It gets quite bright for a VA panel. I also like the blue ambient led at the bottom. Nice touch. solid product.

Great monitor, very happy so far. Nice with the refresh rate and works great with G-Sync. Definitely recommend this one

I was going for a minimal and clean look on my work/casual gaming space and needed to get a multitasking monitor without having a dual setup.

This monitor's not only fairly priced for the quality, value and features it comes with, it has a lot of room for peripherals for someone that uses USB often. I just wish it had the option to power my Mac through HDMI, but it doesn't support that.

Overall, I was very impressed and would highly recommend this monitor if you're looking to transition and ascend to the Ultrawide master race

Love the monitor. Looks really good and performs very well. Solid build quality, and I really have no complaints. Great service from Wootware as one would expect

Really happy with this monitor, has excellent GTG response, great colour and no dead pixels. Comes with 4 USB 3.0 Type A ports, 2 HDMI ports and one Display Port (and an audio jack which I have no interest in using). Only downsides for me is I would like to have seen at least one USB Type-C port and another Display Port (possibly over USB Type-C). Oh and the controls are... fine. Would of been nice is there was a dedicated button to switch between outputs.

Great screen for multiple uses.
Working from home and gaming I wanted one screen to fit all my needs.
1) works great for my work needs(programming). Lots of screen real-estate for mutable applications. May want to use a tool like FancyZones to help placing screens.

2)My work laptop has only on HDMI port and this screen removes the need for wireless adding a second screen with wireless adopters. Note if your laptop has HDMI 1.4 it is not seamless. Need to add intel Graphics Command Canter, in osd switch off smart HDR and add resolution 3440x1440 at 40mHz but for work this is fine. My personal laptop with HDMI 2.0 works no issues. Pc with display-port works great and could use G-sync(just be sure AMD freesync Pro is on).

3)Great for gaming, 144 fps is great for my shooters like csgo and ultra wide is fun for my sim games like DCS and AMS2.

I really enjoy this screen.

Good feel in quality, as usual with Dell products.

The monitor does not come calibrated, so i can advise following RTINGS website to calibrate it. After that, the colors are amazing. Very close to my IPS monitor to be exact.

Superfast setting seems to be the best for no black smearing ( Or little to none )

Videos and gaming look great with this monitor. It is easy to assemble, wide enough that it almost eliminates the need for multiple screens when multitasking, and it is fully adjustable. The stand design makes desk cable-management easier. Overall a pretty sweet monitor.

I've upgraded from my LG 29'inch UW monitor (75Hz) to this monitor and have used it for about a week before writing this review.
Straight out of the box, this monitor is huge, but it was extremely easy and quick to assemble.
It feels very sturdy and oozes premium quality, without it feeling like it's too "in your face".
The neck of the monitor extends really high, which is nice if you're a tall person. You don't have to look down at your screen, thus I for one don't experience neck pain / tension pains anymore. A huge bonus in my book.
It did take me about a day to get used to the curve feature, but after that, you'll carry on as normal
The monitor color options are neat. I personally just left it on the "gaming / MOBA" color preset as it gives the best dark to color ratio.

Regarding gaming.
The colors of this monitor...Wow. Just Wow! Everything just POP!. The colors are vibrant and crisp. Going from a 75Hz to a 144Hz screen makes every gaming session feel so buttery smooth. It really is a feast for the eyes and I thoroughly enjoy every moment of gaming.
A very nice feature is having that extra inches, allowing you to have a broader FOV (Field of View) in the games you play. That coupled with the curved screen really makes my gaming experience feel fresh, different, and unique.
Lastly, with a large screen like this, you really do see more smaller, finer details in characters, grass, environments, etc. It's these small things that just add to the fun of using this monitor :)
The only "negative" I would say is this. This is a VA panel. There is a very slight smearing of dark colors when you're in dark environments. For normal casual gamers, this won't be a big deal as it looks like a quick, slight motion blur feature. For serious gamers playing fast-paced games, this might be a distraction and an IPS monitor may suit your needs better.

Regarding movies.
The monitor performs well enough. Again, the curve feature and VA panel do make some movies feel like there is a slight millisecond delay for some reason or another. It's very negligible but becomes more evident in fast-paced action movies that play out during night / dark scenes. A flat-screen IPS monitor will be better suited if watching series or movies if that is your main goal.

Regarding Work productivity.
Massive screen = Massive screen real state. You can have multiple screens open at the same time. No need to alt-tab. Internet browsing is a breeze. Not really much more to say about this topic.

Summary.
I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of this product. Great quality at a fantastic price. It's worth every Rand and will look good in any room, even if it's switched off :P

I've only just set it up today, but I'm totally impressed with this monitor.

I first saw the monitor listed on Woot and before I could make a decision it was sold out. I must have got a unit from the second batch and I am ecstatic I took the jump.

A high spec, wide screen gaming monitor at the most competitive price you will find.

The refresh rate, HDR400 and Freesync premium did it for me from a great brand. I also really like the professional, not in your face gaming look.

Sure it doesn't have speakers and edge to edge, but it's just so damn immersive and satisfying when playing Doom and Forza in crisp 1440p with high refresh rates.
A treat to work on it too.

I definitely lucked out with pre-ordering this monitor before it sold out. Big thanks to Craig for helping me change my order at the last minute! This monitor is truly incredible for the price. I switched from a 28" Samsung 4K TN 60Hz panel to this beast and I don't see myself moving away from ultrawides anytime soon. Sure, the text and image quality isn't as sharp as a 4K monitor, but the jump to 144Hz is literally game-changing.

I've got this hooked up via HDMI to my M1 MacBook Air running at 100Hz which is perfect for work and it's also plugged into my gaming PC via DisplayPort running at the full 144Hz. My rig isn't quite powerful enough to hit those max frames in AAA games but CS:GO is buttery smooth maxed out :) FreeSync Premium Pro works wonders to keep the other games smooth and I haven't seen a single instance of screen tearing. I'm also no expert on ghosting, but setting the monitor to the Super Fast setting seems to give the best experience after briefly trying out the other options.

Finally, the little quality of life improvements are what really makes this monitor stand out. I've assigned the shortcut buttons to my two inputs so I can seamlessly switch between inputs with a single button press. Previously, doing this by navigating through menus every single time was such a hack. Also, the addition of USB ports on the monitor meant that I could get rid of the clunky USB hub on my desk and plug the mouse and keyboard dongles directly into the monitor. No more signal drops and rummaging around the back of the PC tower aimlessly to find a USB port!

Overall, this is a really great monitor which I plan on keeping for at least the next 5 years. When more stock comes in, definitely get it!
