- Very quiet - Ishaque, 11 October 2023
Honestly you can't even tell if the thing is spinning or not, it's so quiet.
The size of the thing is a bit on the big side (unless this is normal for a cooler).
I have never installed a cooler before so you can call me dumb but the instructions were not super clear on which way it has to go in or how the clips work XD. Just look at the product pictures mostly. It comes with a thermal tube, so no need to get one. Also it has brackets and screws for a lot of different CPU types, not that you'll need it but still nice. There's an extra pair of wire clips if you want to mount a fan on the other side (probably). Overall a good Cooler, very quiet and fits nicely. Probably the only issue is installation since it's so big. Put all the small stuff in before you install this. - Great Cooler But Missing Screwdriver - Duy, 21 September 2023
This cooler served great as a replacement to my failing AIO. Idle my 5800X sits well at, 30-38c. When running Cinebench, it caps at 70C. However, the only downside was that there was no provided screwdriver, nor any indication on the size and type needed. Nothing was in the manual or on Wootware's website. Therefore, I will write it in this review to help people out. So you need a Phillips #2 at 250mm. 250mm is perfect. You could get away with it at 200mm. But the extra length does help you in other applications besides the cooler installation. Overall, I recommend this cooler. It is quiet and efficient for the price. It looks aesthetically pleasing as well.
- Good product - Emile , 14 August 2023
I never heard of ID-Cooling, but I installed this cooler with a Ryzen 5 5600X, it idles at around 30-40'C, when gaming it doesn't go higher than 60'C.
I don't seem to see anything saying you get a thermal paste base with the cooler instead of pre-applied thermal on the cooler itself, so that's a plus.
You also get x2 extra fan mounting clips to add another fan on the other side of the cooler if you wanted to (not sure if it will benefit, it already does the job well with 1x fan)
Installing the cooler is simple, the manual shows exactly how to do it and labels most of the parts so you know if it is for intel or AMD socket. - Good cooler - Nico, 3 August 2023
Instantly dropped my cpu temps by atleast 10c and looks mutch better than that blue stack stock cpu fan from intel 12400
- Cooler 100% thermal paste 0 - C, 5 July 2023
Bought this to replace my stock amd cooler for Ryzen 5600
I want to give it 5 stars but.
1 the thermal paste that came with it was dried out. So had to get new therma paste
2 had to get a new long screw driver as none was included.
How ever...
Installation was easy (after getting the right screw driver)
Performance wise this cooler is a beast. 5600 non X @ 4.8ghz @1.13v didnt see more that 72 degrees with AMD ryzen master stress test
Cinebench 23 after 15 passes maxed out at 64 degrees.
I did use a artic P12 fan on the rear aswell and the stock fan infront. Both maxes out at 1800rpm
Can complain about the cooler thats 5 stars, just make sure you have a long star screw driver and maybe other thermal paste - A Beauty - Yusuf, 10 June 2023
It looks absolutely beautiful in my SFF build. Now, I don't exactly have a heavy spec CPU in the i3-10100, but in this case, my CPU doesn't reach 60°C under an unrealistically heavy load.
- Cooling for days - Taariq, 29 May 2023
Did an aida 65 benchmark test for thermals she thidnt climb over 80…i did swap the fan with the one that came with my inwin case as it has higher static pressure but with case closed and 1 hour bench test next to a heater no more than 80deg. Using 5800x cpu
- Brilliant Cooler - Feroz, 12 April 2023
I bought this because it was the biggest air cooler I could fit into a Lian Li O11 Dynamic. I prefer air cooling so an AIO was not an option. I was running a Noctua U9S previously and this cooler has lowered temps by about 5 degrees compared to the Noctua.
I'm running a 5800X3D and temps while gaming are between 60-66 degrees as compared to 65-71 degrees with the Noctua. Really happy with the quality and performance of this cooler. - A premium like cooler at a fraction of the cost - Geoff, 28 February 2023
I am really impressed with this cooler. I transfered all PC parts to a new case that could only take CPU coolers up to 155mm in height. I had to throw out my Noctua twin tower cooler (also 12 heat pipes) that had a Noctua 140mm and 120mm fan attached. The ID Cooler came within 2°C on full load. Having said that I only have the one 120mm fan attached.
The ID Cooler's fan is not audible with the case fans. Included is thermal paste in a tube that I guess is 1g. This is a large yet compact cooler that should fit most cases. Was super easy to install. Extra brackets included for another 120mm fan.
I have the ID Cooling twin tower (se-207-xt) low profile cooler in my work PC and it performs just as well.
This cooler feels like a premium product at a fraction of the cost. - Beautifully manufactured serious looking cooler - Francois, 3 February 2023
This cooler is a huge black block of heat pipes and aluminium fins, and works as promised. Quiet, too. Top tip: don't use all the supplied heat paste (it is more than needed and will ooze out onto the CPU frame). Requires a screw driver with a very long shaft to fasten the screw that can only be accessed via the hole extending through all the fins. Not taller than my previous CPU's coolermaster Hyper 212, which is great for fitting into my CPU case.
- Performs well - Ruan, 12 January 2023
Bought this to replace my stock AMD Wraith Stealth cooler.
I've noted a drop of 20-25 degrees. So no more thermal throttling under heavy loads and should improve the longevity of my CPU.
Its not a bad looking hunk of aluminium. Easy to install but remember that you need a long Phillips head screwdriver. - Good value and performance. - Robert, 8 January 2023
Bought this to replace a Deepcool maelstrom 240mm AIO.
It cools my I7 4790k to within 3 degrees of it, though that is using 2 fans.
Exceeded my expectations but it is big.
