Sudokoo R-SK700V-BKNDAN-GAS SK700V Black 120mm PWM AMD AM5 CPU Cooler

Cooling a 9800x3d on a Gigabyte x870 eagle in a Fractal Design Meshify M and a 9700xt in the case. Performance has been completely neutral and disappeared into the background for me which is exactly what I want out of a good air cooler. Idles in the high 30's low 40's, and under most gaming loads sits high 60's low 80's range, and delivering that all relatively silently. And has done so for several months now.

The quality of the cooler is good and installation was fairly simple except for two things. The mounting plate that arrived with mine had quality control issues, the so the through-holes for the top plate had not been reamed out wide enough to attach. This was particularly confusing as the installation instructions were a bit vague and I was uncertain if I had just missed something. Luckily to holes thmeselves are plastic and I had thew right tools to expand them a bit, otherwise this would have had me waste time returning the whole cooler. Not ideal for not a cheap cooler.

The software to make the display work is fine but overkill, some 500mb electron wrapper branch of the original Deepcool software (Sudokoo is Deepcool rebranding to sell into the US market avoiding sanctions). I don't really need to be running that much software to light up a display, I wish everyone would learn from the keyboard space and just run this on device through a web portal. If you dig around there are git repositories for versions of this display controller for linux. Some vibe coding converted that into python script linking to libre hardware monitor which I can launch from a shortcut. Using about a 5th of the memory now.

Using this with the Aorus B850 Stealth and 9700X and have nothing to complain about. Solid product, cools well and keeps my 9700X under 65C in gaming sessions with my fan curves set for silent operation all round.

Included contact frame is a nice touch and enures good contact with the CPU. It might seem that the contact frame and the CPU support bracket on the rear of the motherboard does not fit together, but just start to tighten them together and it'll pop into place. It fits like a glove.

The cooler is quite tall. It does fit in the Deepcool CG530 7F, but there is not a millimeter to spare between the cooler and the glass. It was an oversight on my side, as I was jumping aound between cases trying to get something that works with the BTF motherboard, and forgot to confirm cooler clearance when I decided on the chassis.
