At its current price it beats out anything else in terms of performance for money. The Comet Lake 10-core never lost its crown to AMD. If you get super duper lucky you might get a 10850K with similar silicon quality to a decent 10900K (I lucked out somehow).

If you can find a Z490/Z590 board on a clearance sale (I did that too), then pick up this CPU for sure. Please do not put this into a potato board though as these things will actually heat up your VRM in high-current workloads.

Its a 10900k for the price of a 10700k. On my z590 board= 4.9ghz to 5ghz idle, 4.8ghz over loads like Cinebench r20: Score 6250ish. 2 cores hit 5.2 ghz always even 5.3 ghz by itself sometimes. highest temp was 85'C. My only con is I de ranked in Apex Legends cause I reinstalled windows and forgot to turn off mouse acceleration...
