I come from playing games on a 4k 55inch TV.. which I also use for work, for obvious reasons.

And after playing games on the Alienware monitor for a day. I start up my work station with the 4k TV, and something feels off.
I check my settings, I even check if "Game Mode" is on.. and then I realised that famous line you read all the time when considering a 144-240 hz monitor.

"Once you had a taste of G-sync/Freesync, you can't imagine playing games without it ever again".

This is a solid screen, never felt better build quality like this before. The smoothness, top notch. And above all, the master class service is fantastic.

There are 3 response times settings Extreme: true 1ms, super fast: true 2ms, fast: true 4ms . On Extreme there is serious pixilation like super bad, don't use it. If you use super fast you honestly get zero pixel problems and with the IPS panels beautiful color, it is a perfect gaming experience(keep in mind that top tier mouse that all your favorite esports players use have a 4ms response time to avoid double clicks)so i promise it does not matter when its on 2 ms. I was skeptical about 27inch 1080p cause the internet is filled with people saying its bad. Its not, at least on this monitor. My previous monitor was the aw2518hf tn 240hz, after a while it started feeling very small so i bought this for the 27 inch and I can definitely say this is magical. TN to IPS has no difference in feel and you get a super vibrant color with zero ghosting. Don't think twice if you want 240hz. Alienware monitors are always flawless and well thought through. Also zero screen tearing with freesync off and this monitor is super bright. Brighter then the 400 cd/m² Brightness on the tn 25 inch.

I purchased this Alienware coming fro the previous 25 Inch 240hz version and let me tell you nothing gave me more satisfaction from buying this monitor, its fast really fast that 240Hz is amazing followed by the IPS Display the colours are rich and vibrant and the contrast is beyond any TN or VA panel.

Also Wootware had this monitor at a really awesome price, their service was beyond excellent and their customer care was top notch, the updated me on any query I had however big or small and always maintained that professional touch.

Being my first order I was abit cautious but my mind was put at ease with Wootware.

If your looking to upgrade your display dont worry about the 1080p been an issue, trust me it is not with this display the IPS makes it feel like I am gamin in 4k.

I've owned the Viewsonic XG2530, Alienware AW2518HF, and the Pixio Hayabusa. This screen takes the best aspect from all of them and surpasses them all.

The build quality is excellent, the design is incredibly cool and the metal is surprisingly difficult to scuff. Viewing angles are excellent as expected from an IPS, but the anti-glare coating is really effective as well.

In terms of speed this screen definitely has adequate response times to properly display 240 FPS, and in terms of input lag this is probably one of the quickest screens on the market in general. In terms of response times and input lag the 25 inch version of this screen (AW2521HF) does surpass it, but the fact that they gave us a 27 inch screen with all these features is the cherry on top. I personally no longer care for 23-25 inch gaming displays.

I will say, you definitely need to calibrate saturation, contrast, brightness, and color offsets as this screen looks quite underwhelming (horrible) out of the box. Once you've done the necessary adjustments the screen definitely comes to life.

Really happy with my purchase, and I really don't think there is an upgrade from this. The only thing I can think of would be an almost direct copy, but with a 1440p native resolution.

This does what you want: great screen colors superior to TN and at a resolution most mid tier PC's can drive the 200 + Hz refresh rates. As of 2020 1080p 250Hz is easily achievable without buying a PC that costs the same as a car..

Can you get a higher resolution 1440p screen: Yes, but It will not be at 250Hz and IPS. Even if there was, there is no card that can run 250Hz 1440p

Pixelation difficult to really see at just past arms length.

No light bleed on my monitor.

Excellent monitor that comes with all the crazy specs listed.
No issues with ghosting, dead pixels or banding etc.
Monitor looks amazing, IPS really makes the colors POP!
240hz G-Sync is absolutely heaven.
Monitor has excellent build quality, solid frame and base and the white back side with the alien RGB logo is the cherry on the top.

Only issue with the monitor is that 27" is in fact a bit much for 1080p.
In some games I don't see any "stretching" issues, but in old games like CSGO, you can see some straight lines look jagged where it never did before on my 21" 1080p monitor. Can also see some light stretching on Youtube/Netfix text, like the N logo when starting a netflix show.
But, above all else, this is a 240hz gaming monitor, it is meant for gaming, so the minor issues on streaming is not a deal breaker.
