ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34" (3440x1440) 100Hz IPS G-Sync Gaming Desktop Monitor

Playing games on this is a privilege. The colour, g-sync, size and ips panel curve and all of it, is as good as it gets for me. I am aware of the HDR technology that Asus has just released. But 21:9 gaming is where is at!. Hopefully Asus will release something similar like this monitor but with HDR Include. If you like to get lost in the game world like i do, exploring and wondering in the art design of the artist true intent, then this will take you your eyes there!

After having this monitor for over a year I can definitely say its an excellent investment. Coming from a 16:10 aspect ratio to 21:9 aspect is fantastic for everything. The resolution is perfect for the size as pixels is not visible. A fast gpu is recommended as my Gtx 980ti does not fully compliment the monitor to its full potential. I have not had any compatibility issues with the aspect ratio as I am playing some old titles that support 21:9 as well which is great.

-Gsync, lower fps below 60fps still looks seemingly smooth and playable
-Jumping from 60Hz to 100Hz is massive if your gpu can push all the pixels fast enough

-IPS panel

-Sturdy
-Menu navigation super easy
-Date of current review there is nothing better. Its either this monitor of something inferior.

Cons:
-Has back light bleed in corners - this will vary with each monitor. Luckily only visible with black and dark backgrounds. Anything else its not noticeable.
-5ms may be too low for certain applications like side scrolling games with continuous movement that will end up blurring detail. My previous monitor was also 5ms but if your monitor is faster like 1ms you will most likely see ghosting if you have eagle eyes. For fps games, movies and anything else its perfect just not that side scroll games.
-Price
-Built in speakers is just lol, I don't know what Asus was thinking...I am sorry but I have difficulty comparing it to the worst sounding speakers to my knowledge...unfortunately there is none as the built is speakers of this monitor takes the cake.
-Accessing back for usb ports can be overcome by just using a hub instead.
-You may be unlucky getting a bad apple as I did. A factory defect with the Gsync causing the top of the screen about 1 inch the complete length to flicker with fps fluctuations. Wootware however swopped the monitor and the 2nd monitor is still doing great.

If you are one of those people who upgrade their hardware frequently but have a monitor for almost 10 years I have news for you - TIME TO UPGRADE, you will be pleasantly surprised. 21:9 is the way forward!
