I could not love a human baby as much as I love this monitor

"Just do it" If your looking to upgrade then, buy this monitor! its great works well, nice warranty, smooth with G-sync, big enough and the look fits with my other dell monitors!

I have had this monitor for about 2 years now and spent quite a bit of time using it. Its a fantastic panel depending what monitor you coming from. if you own a 1080p 60hz panel then this will be great however i soon found myself annoyed with the relatively poor colour reproduction of the panel as well as the poor viewing angles (As a result of it being a TN panel). It is perfect for high fps gaming but for playing games with beautiful graphics like the Witcher 3 or Assassins creed origins i would recommend something else even though this monitor has a higher resolution than 1080p and looks relatively crisp.

I gave it 4 stars because at the price of R8500 there are very few alternatives (with identical or better specs) at the time of writing this review. Just be aware of the compromises.

Great monitor, been using it for 1 week now and have 0 complaints.

I upgraded from an Asus 1080p G-sync and this one just smashes it out of the park, big enough for gaming and colour is great.

I do not own this monitor myself, but my cousin does. I have played around with it and what can I say its brilliant. This is to be expected of a high refresh monitor and I doubt I could go back to 60hz panels now. The G-Sync is an added bonus, but regardless it is a TN panel which means less colour accuracy and relatively poor viewing angles. Cari (read Cari's review) is indeed correct that equivalent 1440p TN panel is not twice as good as this one and to that I say yes, but ASUS does have a 165hz G-sync IPS 1440p monitor which has better colour accuracy and viewing angles and a slightly faster refresh rate. Regardless, this panel is a great "budget" high refresh monitor

I admit I initially overlooked this monitor in favour for ASUS screens twice its price. This was in part due to being around Dell stuff at work and I've never looked at a monitor at work and though "wow" (I had conveniently forgotten Dell also owns Alienware), and because the price just seemed to good to be true for a G-Sync screen (even though the reviews where normally good).

But boy was I in for a surprise when I finally decided to buy this after not finding the ASUS screens that I was eyeing in stock anywhere. Despite the price it doesn't look or feel like a cheap screen (the ASUS competitors goes for 15-20k and I doubt they are actually twice as good). This replaces a 24" 144hz BenQ that was an eye opener when I got it but for me at least the addition of G-Sync just makes things so much more smoother.

Pros: its fast, smooth pretty and solidly built
Cons: If I have to scratch my head for one negative is that the control buttons are a bit tough to push - and that's it.

Great monitor, oozes quality. Simple packaging, and can be put back in the box without tools or a PHD in astrophysics. Easy assembly. Stand has good adjustment for height, swivel and tilt. USB 3 ports are a welcome convenience. Performance is fantastic, as you expect of a GSync 144Hz monitor. Button access is standard dell (line up the button with OSD indicators). Brightness, contrast and color profile is not perfect, so google "How to calibrate Dell S2716DG" and you'll find some suggestions which worked for me. This took the merely decent color profile, to so gorgeous, it's hard not to sit and stare. Don't forget to change both your refresh rate in windows 7/8/10 for desktop mode, and in-game to 144Hz. If this is your first 144Hz monitor, prepare to have your mind blown, like a toddler eating sour worms for the first time.

AMAZING screen for the value. Has amazing colour for a TN panel, and is one of the few true 8-bit TN panels I know of (or at least that I've used). Combine that with the 144hz + g-sync and its a winner, by far the best monitor I've used to date.

It is good. The only downside is I had to upgrade my gfx to make use of those extra 144hz frame output at 1440p rez.

There is a bit of magic that happens when your frames hit 90-110+fps and you realize that 60hz/60fps game-play is actually low performance. Going from 60hz fps game to 144hz in the same fps game made the game almost feel like slow motion so much extra data was hitting my eyes.

For the price, you can't go wrong! It's the perfect combination of performance, quality and looks.

If you do any research, in terms of gaming, you will notice that 4K isn't yet viable considering that even with a 1080ti You will just barely scrape past 60fps.
The solution? Get a 2K monitor with G-sync and run 1440p at 144fps, and when you upscale to 4K the G-Sync will save you from the noticeable frame drops!
