This is my second one of these and I'm very happy with the clarity and brightness. Definitely recommend, and of course, the best service from Wootware.

Great picture, beautiful resolution, but might be too big. Find myself noticing that the edges of the screen are further away, might want to look at something curved at this size.
Had to add a monitor arm to adjust it better, the foot was very big and couldn't move it as far back in the space I had available for it.

I bought this 4K monitor because I do a lot of photo editing. I'm happy with the product but unfortunately, I think because, possibly, I don't have the right graphics card, I can't set the display to the highest resolution. I can only set it to 1 920 x 1 080 and not 3 840 x 2 160.

This LGUL500 UHD 4k monitor works very well with my RTX 3060 12G graphics card. It gives crystal, clear images and videos at 1080p and 4K resolution. It is easy to customize the monitor settings via a single toggle switch at the bottom centre of the monitor. I do recommend this monitor.

Exceptionally high quality for a "budget" monitor. The calibration is top-notch, colours are accurate down to the pixel. Only shortfall I could think off is the lack of HDMI 2.1, but after a few minutes of using this monitor you completely forget about any of that. Highly recommended.

This is the first 4k monitor I have ever owned, so my review is going to be a bit biased. I have enjoyed watching YouTube videos on this 4k monitor when the video has allowed it, as well as Twitch, when the stream is doing so in 4k.

There are two major issues I have with this monitor, one, being that I there are no speakers for this monitor, so if you don't have speakers or headphones, then you will have to purchase them. The second issue I have is that the monitor height is not adjustable. It does tilt, up or down as required, but the monitor can't be raised up or down. So, I currently have to use books to raise it on my desk. Not sure if Wootware can assist with one of their peripheral items.

Overall, the service from Wootware was great, I placed the order on a Monday and then it was delivered to me on Thursday. I think they did use the Courierguy, I can't remember which courier company I selected on the payment options.

Right got this monitor for round about a year , short answer its good , cheapest 4k monitor youll find , works great for consoles , ive been using it for my series x , also been using it as main screen for my laptop(1660ti) , and cant complain . now i think where it may come a bit short is if your a hardcore content creator and you need heavy bells and whistles but if you are, your probs aiming higher than this monitor for your workload , but for the everyday user and beginner content creators you will not be dissapointed,

Excellent value for money. A great monitor for work and gaming with a crisp image - would recommend. Don't think you can find anything that can compete with these specs at this price level.

Currently hooked up to my Macbook Air M1 and it works brilliantly. The visuals are crystal clear and no lag between what I'm doing to on screen. I have been looking something to increase my productivity and this was it. For the price as others have mentioned as well, it is worth the buy. IPS + HDR and Freesync all for just over R5K bargain much? I bought a custom mount for more freedom in terms of direction and angles as the current one is limited.

If you have never used a 4K monitor before, then you will be blown away!
The stand is not the best, but it has a VESA mount so you can use this with a bracket.

Overall very, very happy with the monitor. At R5300 it is an absolute bargain and you won't find anything better for the price. Image is crystal clear but I recommend playing around with the settings to see which colour options you like best. Stand is not bad at all if you have a solid desk. Not the best design on the market but more than makes up for it with the great display. Note personally I have an older computer (2015 Macbook Pro) so I needed to purchase a Mini Displayport to Displayport cable to use the monitor at 60hz; HDMI only up to 30hz with my Mac.

I have been using 3 x 1080 screens for years now and really didn't realise how low that resolution is in modern terms. My old monitors look blurry now by comparison, this 4k LG is amazing! I would highly recommend it. I've also bought a RTX3060ti through Wootware in November, and games look incredible on this screen in max resolution, super smooth.

First Wootware were very friendly and efficient and service was excellent as usual. The monitor seems to be very good quality picture-wise - my first 4k monitor so hard to compare but seems very good. Works with M1 Mac HDMI @ 60Hz refresh. What I would improve about the monitor would have to be its stand, it is quite wobbly and the only adjustment is tilt. Even though this is a well priced monitor you would still expect a better quality stand for the money.

Very, very impressed

This monitor is the best and most affordable 4k monitor to use as a secondary monitor to accompany a high refresh rate gaming monitor. Its the perfect size to not stand out and great colours for content consumption. Play a game on your gaming monitor and on the side open Twitch or Youtube or Netflix or all of them at the same time since its a 4K monitor.

There is currently no better value for money, 4K monitor out there. The quality of the monitor is decent and the screen is amazing. Low response time, accurate colours, good HDR and overall features. I would highly recommend it!

Over the past year or so, I have purchased 3 monitors that I was extremely disappointed by, 1 UHD display and 2 ultrawides, unfortunately none of them met my very high expectations, therefore I returned them. Going into this purchase, I was quite skeptical because how could such a cheap 4K monitor be any good? Well, this display has exceeded my every expectation and is exactly what I've been looking for.

The screen is extremely clear, colors are vibrant but at the same time, very accurate. What I think blew my mind the most is the fact that this IPS display has extremely dark black levels, even darker than the 4K VA monitor I had a few months ago. Color uniformity is excellent, whites are consistent and dark images have barely any backlight bleed. As someone who does a lot of photo editing, seeing grays so consistent was a real pleasure to look at. This was also the first monitor I have ever bought where I wasn't completely disgusted in the HDR implementation, sure it's not perfect and doesn't meet HDR 400 certification, but it's one of those things where it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. There were a few games that I played where HDR really made the overall picture look better, for instance the brand new Tony Hawk's game which has some of the best HDR implementation I have ever played (take note that this is on the PS4 Pro, so your mileage may vary).

Pros:
- It's an IPS monitor, which means the colors are vibrant and accurate.
- Colors are consistent throughout the screen, so you don't get that dirty screen effect.
- Image quality is extremely sharp thanks to the very high PPI.
- Has AMD Freesync which helps reduce screen tearing in games.
- 5 ms (GTG) response time is fairly average but I didn't notice any ghosting, although I am not particularly sensitive to this sort of thing.
- HDR was surprisingly better than the previous HDR monitors that I had, it's still not perfect, but much better than expected.
- Viewing angles were excellent, thanks to its IPS display.

Cons:
- Thicker than normal bezels (I personally see this as a pro, as the plastic around the edges protects the screen from accidental knocks).
- No speakers (For this price, just go buy a cheap pair of computer speakers, it will still be cheaper than buying any other 4K monitor on the market).

Overall, you cannot go wrong with this monitor. Well done LG for making an affordable display that not only performs well, but also has a wide array of features for people to play around with.

This is the first 4K monitor I have purchased, and I must say I am blown away by the quality. The clarity and crispness is insane for the price tag. I would definitely recommend this screen for anything from designing/image editing to gaming. Well worth the money spent.
